The educational potential of Russia, its culture and cuisine are presented at the International Evening in Kolkata

On March 3, with the assistance of the Russian House in Kolkata, the Russian national stand at the education exhibition began its work. The event takes place on the grounds of the Calcutta Club, one of the oldest social organizations in the city. The Consulate General of Russia, with the support of the Russian House in Kolkata, organized 2 national stands - the first one represents the culture, tourism and educational potential of Russia, the second one provides an opportunity to try Russian cuisine and gives an idea of ​​the culinary traditions of the country. The work of the stands will continue from March 3 to March 5 as part of the events of the International Evening of the Calcutta Club - 2023.

Senior Consul of the Consulate General of Russia Maxim Aleshin took part in the opening ceremony of the educational exhibition and visited the stands of Russia together with colleagues from foreign diplomatic missions.

Representatives of six state universities of Russia arrived in Kolkata for the admission campaign. On 17 May, Russian House in Kolkata hosted the session, headed by Alexey Idamkin, Consul General of the Russian Federation in Kolkata, and Sergey Shushin, vice-consul and director of the Russian Housein the city. The annual campaign of RusEducation agency covered several cities in India.

Indian graduates of Russian universities hold an interactive session with applicants, answering their questions regarding education and living conditions of students in Russia.

Representatives of Tula State University, St.Petersburg State University, Perm State Medical University, Mari State University, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, Orenburg State Medical University were present at site for the counseling session.

Для участия в приёмной кампании в Калькутту прибыли представители шести государственных университетов России. Генеральный консул Российской Федерации в Калькутте Алексей Идамкин и вице-консул, директор Русского дома в Калькутте Сергей Шушин торжественно открыли образовательную ярмарку. Ежегодная кампания агентства RusEducation охватила несколько городов Индии.

Индийские выпускники российских вузов проведи интерактивную сессию с абитуриентами, ответив на их вопросы касательно образования и бытовых условий студентов в России.

Russian House in Kolkata hosted the Education Fair. Ekaterina Lazareva, Attaché, Head of Protocol, Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Kolkata, was present to inaugurate the fair on July, 18th.

Several top state universities of Russia such as Pirogov Russian National Research University, Orenburg State Medical University, Moscow State University of Psychology and Education, Mari State University, Perm State Medical University, St.Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, Peter the Great St.Petersburg Polytechnic University and Moscow Institute of Architecture took part in the event.

The fair serves a free platform to apply directly to the institution of their choice, and get first-hand information on courses, scholarship seats, availability of Indian food at universities, complete passport and visa assistance, preparation of documents for the students, accommodation facilities offered by the universities and much more.

🧳 Journey through the program "Hello Russia!" continues in the Altai Territory.

📌 On July 20, young Russian compatriots met with representatives of government agencies and universities in the region. 💬 The children were presented with the educational potential of the Altai Territory, told about the scientific and educational base of the university. 🔼 Later, at the interregional exhibition "Siberia", the participants got acquainted with samples of original artistic creativity from 713 professional artists and art historians from 11 regions of the Siberian Federal District.

➡️ At the end of the day, the children visited local sports facilities. The project participants arrived at the Ob river rowing canal to the “Sports School of the Olympic Reserve for rowing in kayaking and canoe named after Konstantin Kostenko”, where they were able to ride on water transport and even swim in the Siberian river Ob.

➡️ В завершении дня ребята посетили местные спортивные объекты. Участники проекта приехали на гребной канал КГБУ ДО «Спортивная школа олимпийского резерва по гребле на байдарках и каноэ имени Константина Костенко», где смогли прокатиться на водном транспорте и даже искупаться в сибирской реке Обь.

Representatives of state bodies and educational institutions of the Altai Territory met with young Russian compatriots from Australia,  Germany, Israel, India, France and other countries who arrived in the region under the Rossotrudnichestvo project "Hello, Russia!", the press service of the regional government reports.

"Representatives of government agencies and educational institutions of the region met with compatriots as part of the project " Hello, Russia!". These are delegations of 56 young Russian compatriots from 14 to 19 years old from Australia, Belarus, Germany, Israel, India, Spain, Kazakhstan, China, the Netherlands, Serbia, Uganda, France," the statement said.

A warm meeting was organized for the guests in the hall of the Academic Council of the Altai State University.  Yury Zakharov, Head of the Department of the Administration of the Governor and the Government of the Altai Territory for External Relations and Protocol, thanked Rossotrudnichestvo for the opportunity to participate in the project.

🇷🇺 Learn Russian language and culture online for free: the project “MAKSIMUM. Govorim po-russki” has opened the registration for Russian as a foreign language courses

The aim of the project is to teach Russian to foreign citizens living abroad and migrants living in Russia, who are interested in mastering the language. It is suitable for people with different language levels and backgrounds – from beginners to intermediate, - and for those who are going to take a state exam in Russian for tertiary level education. Apart from that, there is an introductory course to the Russian culture for those who have already mastered the language at an upper-intermediate level.

✅️ The project offers six educational programs free of charge, which are running from September to December 2023. The training is organized in the form of online group lessons with a tutor, three lessons a week. Participants are also given an opportunity for individual work on an interactive platform. After successfully completing the course, each participant is awarded a certificate from MAKSIMUM Obrazovaniye.

✅️ Проект «МАКСИМУМ. Говорим по-русски» направлен на обучение иностранных граждан, проживающих за рубежом, а также мигрантов, проживающих на территории России, заинтересованных в изучении русского языка на разных уровнях: от начального до продвинутого, а также нуждающихся в подготовке к сдаче единого государственного экзамена по русскому языку для поступления в российские вузы.

Кроме того, для уже освоивших русский язык на продвинутом уровне, предлагается программа по знакомству с русской культурой.

Обучение в рамках проекта проводится бесплатно по 6 различным программам, продолжительностью 144 академических часа, в период с сентября по декабрь 2023 года.

Выбор программы обучения осуществляется после регистрации в проекте и прохождения тестирования, определяющего входной уровень владения русским языком. Обучение проходит в формате онлайн-занятий с преподавателем в группе и самостоятельной работы на интерактивной платформе. Еженедельно проводится по три занятия, длительностью 1,5 часа. При успешном окончании программы выдается сертификат «МАКСИМУМ Образования».

Don State Technical University has opened registration for international academic competition for master’s degree applicants «MASTERSIUM»

The prizewinners and awardees – citizens of foreign countries have a right to be enrolled at DSTU within the quota of the Government of the Russian Federation for Master studies. The languages are Russian, French, Spanish and English. Participation is online and free of charge.
