📢 Exciting News! 📚 Our latest research paper in Nanomaterials has just been published! 🧪🔬
We delve into the fascinating world of 2H MoTe2 (molybdenum ditelluride) and its incredible potential. This material has garnered immense interest for its applications in superconductivity, nonvolatile memory, and semiconductors. It boasts a wide range of electrical properties that make it a true game-changer.
But what's even more intriguing is our exploration of MoTe2 in combination with hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) within lateral heterostructures. This pairing offers a unique platform for crafting groundbreaking electronic devices.
In our study, we've successfully created highly conductive interfaces in crystalline ionic liquid-gated (ILG) field-effect transistors (FETs) featuring MoTe2/h-BN heterojunctions. 🌟
Our findings reveal an efficient carrier modulation with ILG FETs, showcasing double the performance compared to standard back gating. We've achieved remarkable unipolar p-type behavior and significantly boosted mobility in MoTe2/h-BN heterochannels, setting new mobility records. At 80 K, we observed hole and electron mobility values ranging from 345 cm² V⁻¹ s⁻¹ to 285 cm² V⁻¹ s⁻¹.
But what sets our study apart is the drastic reduction of Schottky barriers, which allowed us to unlock the intrinsic, heterointerface conduction in the channels. This presents exciting opportunities for developing phase change devices using atomically thin membranes.

Our latest study explores how carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), and methane (CH4) molecules interact with ionic liquids (ILs) for gas capture and separation applications. Using advanced molecular dynamics simulations, we investigated the absorption mechanisms of these gases in two specific ILs, revealing fascinating insights into their behavior at the molecular level. [EN] Exciting news! 🚀 Our collaborative paper with researchers of Kyushu University and Tokyo Institute of Technology has been published in Applied Physics Express! A big thank you to Prof. Pankaj Attri for inviting me to be a part of this innovative study 🙏. This research focused on using plasma ionic liquid (IL) technology for CO2 capture, storage, and conversion, offering an alternative approach to combatting climate change. By employing [Bmim]Cl IL and plasma, it was successfully transformed captured CO2 into CO under atmospheric pressure. Computer simulations further enhanced our understanding on penetration of gas molecules into water and IL solutions. Nitration, a biological modification, significantly accelerates pore formation during electroporation, highlighting its crucial role in biomedical applications. 🧬 Special thanks to my dedicated master students Mukhammadali Niyozaliev, Jakhongir Matyakubov, and junior researcher Davronjon Abduvokhidov, as well as our foreign collaborators Prof. Pankaj Attri and Prof. Zhitong Chen. 🔬 Exciting Research Visit to Yeditepe University! 🌍
I am glad to share that I am currently on a research visit to Yeditepe University in Istanbul, Turkey. 🎓
During this visit, I've met my collaborator Dr. Turgay Çoruhlu who is working on the Plasma Agriculture project. 🌱 Dr. Çoruhlu is closely monitoring the development of tea plants under direct plasma treatment of seeds and an indirect method using plasma-treated water, with impressive results so far. 🍵🌿
We also had productive discussions about applying for an upcoming joint project call between Uzbekistan and Turkey. 🇺🇿🇹🇷
In addition, we visited the nanotechnology lab led by Dr. Fatih Mehmet, who specializes in solar cells. ☀️🔋 We explored potential collaborations that could involve other organizations in Uzbekistan.
Our visit continued with a meeting with Prof. Metin Turan, Head of the Agricultural Trade and Management Department. Prof. Turan is working on advanced seed treatment technology, which has been tested and certified. 🌾✔️ His extensive experience in research, management, and trading is truly inspiring, and we agreed on establishing close cooperation.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the researchers for their warm hospitality and valuable discussions. 🤝

Prof. Khan’s work complements ours perfectly—his applied expertise paired with our fundamental research opens up amazing possibilities!
