We present the articles of the fourth issue of scientific journal "Mining Science and Technology” (Russia) for 2024:

The article describes the creation of a three-dimensional (3D) digital geological model of Cenozoic deposits in the Brest region using computer modeling to predict mineral construction material occurrences. An original algorithm utilizing a Voronoi diagram has been developed, enabling the transformation of the 3D model into a two-dimensional (2D) representation. Digital thematic maps localizing deposits of commonly occurring mineral resources (COMR) have been created based on this 2D representation. Furthermore, an approach is proposed for classifying lands and COMR deposits according to their suitability for exploitation. The results of this classification can be used by local authorities for planning the development of the region’s mineral resources.
