Russia sent 10.5 million tons of grain crops, mainly wheat, to the countries of Asia and Africa. By the end of the year, about 30 million more tons of grain are ready to be exported.
“The contrast, as they say, is obvious – while Ukrainian cargo goes along the humanitarian corridor to Europe and developed countries, Russian supplies are sent to those in need in Africa and Asia,” the message on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry says.
The ministry emphasized that Russia is one of the world's leading exporters of fertilizers, without which both consuming and producing countries will be at risk of starvation.

The 2nd Winter Children of Asia International Sports Games ended in Kemerovo. 814 athletes from 12 countries took part in the competitions in various disciplines. Foreign experts also voiced questions that interested them. On October 7, the XVI Regional Conference of Russian compatriots of Asian countries “The role of Russian compatriots in the new global realities: ways to preserve and promote unity in Asian countries” began its work in the capital of Nepal. The conference is attended by delegates from 10 countries in the Asian region - #India, #Cambodia, #China, #Malaysia, #Nepal, #Mongolia, #Korea, #Singapore, #Thailand and #Japan.
In his speech, Dmitry Polikanov outlined the key programs and directions of the Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo in working with Asian compatriots, and noted the success of the educational travel program for young compatriots “Hello, Russia!” to 12 regions of the country in 2023. He reported on a planned educational course for compatriots on holding events and working with communities.
Russian diaspora from India is represented by Elena Barnan, head of the country council, Irina Malysheva, member of the regional council, and Zhanna Semyonova, leader of the youth wing.

The event took place at the Russian House in New Delhi. As part of the conference, delegates presented the traditional attire of their countries of residence.

📚 The centre will provide applicants with an overview of educational and scientific opportunities in Russia. Moreover, it will help other Russian universities and scientific institutions to develop contacts with the country.
The hub is coordinated by the campus of the National Research University Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg. The centre intends to engage in active cooperation with Thailand, Malaysia ,and Vietnam.
