In our digital age, where access to the Internet is ubiquitous, the idea of rationing its use seems both radical and intriguing. This proposal raises a myriad of questions, from the impact on our daily lives to technical feasibility and political implications. Good idea or an unfeasible proposal?

Since its imposition during the initial lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic, telecommuting has become deeply entrenched in professional culture. A recent study by the Association pour l'emploi des cadres (Apec) reveals that this practice, far from being perceived as a constraint, is now widely adopted and appreciated by executives. This transformation in working practices, based on flexibility and the ability to work remotely, is having a major impact on workers' attitudes and companies' recruitment strategies. Peers takes a closer look.

For several decades now, the Aral Sea has been a symbol of ecological disaster. Once the fourth largest lake in the world, this body of water on the border between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan has lost over 90% of its surface area in just a few decades. This drastic reduction is due to the intensive irrigation implemented under the Soviet Union, which diverted the Aral Sea's tributaries for agricultural projects, leading to ecological and economic devastation in the region.
However, new hope is emerging thanks to the commitment of Kazakhstan and an international partnership with the United States: the Oasis project. Together, they are working to breathe new life into this natural jewel, once a symbol of flourishing ecology.
