4 Kurdish detainees begin a hunger strike
Kurdish political prisoners Zeynab Jalalian, Warysha Moradi, Sakineh Parvaneh, and Motabal Ahmadian, held in Evin and Yazd prisons, announced that they will begin a hunger strike on September 16 in support of the general strike in Kurdistan, coinciding with the fourth anniversary of the martyrdom of Jina Amini and the outbreak of the “Jin Jiyan Azadî” uprising.
The Coalition of Political Forces of Eastern Kurdistan called for a general strike, urging people to close shops and markets and refrain from going to work.

Freedom Fighters Commemorate the Martyrs of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” Revolution
On the fourth anniversary of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” Revolution, YRK-HPJ fighters held a ceremony to commemorate the martyrs of the revolution, lit memorial candles at their graves, and renewed their commitment to their path.
The revolution began on September 16, 2022, following the martyrdom of Jina Amini at the hands of the authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It began in Eastern Kurdistan before spreading across Iran and the region.

Students and residents set up a sit-in tent in front of the United Nations Commission building in Qamishlo, in protest against the Syrian government’s policy toward Kurdish-language education and in rejection of the decision that limits its teaching to only three classes.

We do not hold an entire tribe or nationality responsible, and we do not call for revenge. We want justice for Sami and for every victim, and the law above all.
