Rafat Hazem Mahmoud, from the villages of Jisr al-Shughur, was a commander in the 4th Division affiliated with Maher al-Assad, and today he holds a position in cybersecurity in Damascus within #NewSyria.

The Syrian government today is more repressive and terroristic. It has not removed the figures of the previous regime, but rather kept them in sensitive positions.
