Statement from the family of martyr Sami Sheikhmous Haso “Siban Hazni”:
We demand that the truth be revealed and justice be served regarding Sami’s abduction and killing. We reject justifying the crime under the name of “tribal revenge.” Any previous dispute should have been addressed through the law, not through revenge.
We demand accountability for everyone who committed the crime or participated, incited, assisted, or covered up for those involved, and that they be brought before a fair and independent judiciary.
We do not hold an entire tribe or nationality responsible, and we do not call for revenge. We want justice for Sami and for every victim, and the law above all.
May God have mercy on Sami and all his comrades.
