According to Insider-Gaming (Tom Henderson), after the annual loss of over a billion euros Ubisoft is shutting down several offices around the world and shrinking down many teams, including the one that works on Rainbow Six Siege... in total, about 380 people lost their jobs during these "structural changes".
Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake is still set to be released in time and the company has a lot of hopes for it. The preorders are record-breaking.

Claude Guillemot, one of five brothers founded Ubisoft, died in a small aircraft (Cessna 421) crash.
He once saved the family business in early days, helping with diversification from agriculture into music CDs and other media distribution.
That supported the family financially and built its initial network to distribute games in France, which then became Ubisoft. He was later responsible for their expansion in Asia and some R&D stuff, and general operations. And was not a part of scandals, so, sad loss no doubt.
He was also the owner of gaming peripherals brands Trustmaster and Hercules.

Ubisoft is working on a fix for locked cutscenes but as of now there are mods to fix it. Or, you can set the game to high preset (or lower) and it will remove the lock.

Watch Dogs (2014)
Looks both good and dated but for something that old it's nice.
The city is much less interactive than in WD2 (where they pulled off tons of stores, public places, gang corners, and such). But the exploration is still rewarding.

The game is as free and as flexible as a block of concrete, the AI of enemies is as graceful as the speeding truck, and the systems interact so well that if bandits attack you the police will come over and also attack you. And the firetruck can safely bypass a burning car.
And I still love this game and wasted 7+ hours in a couple of days, oh, dammit.
