• The current version is reportedly focused on a single-player, story-driven experience.

• The project has undergone major changes during its long development, including a reported shift away from its previous multiplayer-focused direction.

• Ubisoft has not announced a release date.

According to analytics, EA is currently in debt by $18B and have to pay roughly $1.8B/y for this. But they only generate about $1.5B of revenue a year so they have to cut costs and fast. BioWare are not the last bastion to fall this autumn — more will follow during November talks between the stakeholders. The promised cut is about $700m.

Instead they have to focus on EA Sports and Shooters which company only sees through the prism of Battlefield 6 and Apex Legends. A reasonable person would say their commercial performance is rather exceptional but EA is building Battlefront 3 with the same expectations.
