Yep, by the way, the game was clunky at times but way above my expectations:

- Very impressive combat forcing to position yourself at all times, nice weapons upgrades and skills

- Enemies design, movement patterns and such are also great

- Nice directed missions both in a real world and in limbo

- Outstanding optional puzzle missions called "Research Polygons" hiding the best upgrades for the arsenal

- But a messed up writing and unfinished open world area (exists only to link actual maps together) grade it down

And to remind you about bipolar nature of my mind, here are my notes on local LLMs:

1. 99% of them are horrible, just outright barely usable even for low-risk applications. Qwen 3.6 derivatives passed some benchmarks but SUX ARSE (Prism 27B included). Nvidia's own stuff is trash too.

2. The exact model is more important than the family. The size (8B, 12-14B, 27B, etc) maters less than how tuned and mixed it is. Quants also matter (Q4+ are usable, Q1-3 are falling apart β€” it's like a compression level)

3. For my goals I ended up with two very capable models, both are from Gemma 4 family:

https://huggingface.co/Brunobkr/OFFELLIA_Gemma-4-E4B-8b-Claude-4.6-Opus-Reasoning-MTP - a tiny 7.5B model but very well tuned for tech stuff. Makes some mistakes, so ask wisely. Can run on a laptop. Loves emojis when writing you guides. Good in small technical stuff, bad in everything else (like it knows nothing of exact games or movies, it was mostly cut).

https://huggingface.co/mudler/gemma-4-26B-A4B-it-Claude-Opus-Distill-APEX-GGUF - fairly big MoE for all sorts of stuff. Eats tons of RAM, but Mix of Experts with APEX allows it to still be very fast. But it is still hard to run even on a GPU, hunt for higher quants (like at least APEX I Compact), prefer I over non-I.

And I run it via LM Studio on RTX 5070 and on a Ryzen 6800U laptop. LLMs will not do stuff for ya (they can β€” there are agentic options and tool usage access, but that's rarely a good application), just keep them in mind as local Google on steroids.

Godot Engine 4.8 will finally address the issue of fast mouse polling rate (which cursed Unreal Engine, Source 2, and many others). It could either spike CPU usage, freeze the game, or both.

GH-109639 made a separate (from Windows) mouse input tracking. So, the games will no longer feel stuttery on Windows machines with gaming peripherals.

Microslop shoots itself again by installing an unwanted OneDrive AI Photos app on Windows 11 machines even if they have local accounts and removed OneDrive

The app tries to force-install itself on all devices, including enterprise, government, and business machines (where uploading images to the unpredictable cloud is against the rules and regulations).
