ZA/UM fired over 30 people due to commercial failure of their recent game Zero Parades: For Dead Spies. The feedback was positive but the sales are far from Disco Elysium.

A lot of the original fans were suspicious due to legal battles over the studio and weren't rushing to buy a new project upon release. But the game sold at least 50 000 copies for $40 in less than three months = $1.5-2m gross revenue. What numbers did they expect?

Marathon game director leaves the company. The game is not growing, a full PvE mode is announced, but metrics continue to decline.

You have one day to complete Mindseye (for free) 😅 https://store.steampowered.com/app/3265250/MindsEye/
Now I can honestly say: don't do it, folks! My RTX 5070 and Ryzen 5600x (paired with fast SSD and 32GB of good RAM) is NOT enough to play.

How about 40-65 FPS with dips to about 21? And settings aren't fixing it at all.

But wait, would you like a 20 minutes unskippable and poorly written cutscene as the game's intro? After about 6 minutes I literally opened some YouTube.

Oh, crap, I closed the game to steam-off a bit, re-opened and the cutscene goes FROM THE VERY BEGINNING, I was already in a gameplay section, WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL.

I got it for free and still want my money back...

Palworld recovered even further and has become the only game with such a comeback on Steam. All thanks to 1.0 update!

Backrooms movie is okay but I'm glad I haven't watched it on a big screen. It's slow, deliberately filmed on a bunch of carefully picked cameras and lenses. The director did a good job and deserves the praise.

But there are painfully slow and often unfinished moments mixed with time skips. Which holds it back in a way.

PS. Here's the origin of Backrooms
