🇷🇺 🇺🇸🇫🇮 A rather interesting exercise began on the territory of a newly formed member of the North Atlantic bloc - Finland. From yesterday until December 1, the Finnish Armed Forces will continue training as part of the joint NATO forces Freezing Winds.
On the Finnish side, an F/A-18 squadron, warships and marine units are participating. And NATO is represented by ten F/A-18 US Navy, one Atlantique 2 patrol aircraft of the French Navy (flying to Tempere air base) and permanent group No. 1 of the NATO Naval Forces (a total of 30 ships and vessels) .
📌 And the emphasis of this event speaks for itself: the scenario of a crisis situation in the waters of the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Finland is being worked out as part of combat units of diverse forces at the Dragovik training ground and in the coastal zone.
The training takes place amid of the controversial closure of border crossings between Finland and Russia and provocative actions in support of Ukraine. And this does not take into account two more exercises of the Finnish ground forces, conducted at the same time near the borders with the Russian Federation.
The Alliance's attention to Scandinavia once again confirms the thesis that the struggle in the Arctic region is only heating up.

🇷🇺 🇫🇮 Regarding the Increased Activity of the Finnish Armed Forces near Russian Borders
Today, Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo stated that the Finnish authorities have no intention of engaging in political discussions with Russia concerning the situation in the border areas between the two countries.
The actions of the Scandinavian state in relation to Russia are increasingly being viewed negatively. They have either blocked border crossings, as reported by Two Majors, or displayed captured equipment in Helsinki.
🔻The number of exercises conducted over the past two weeks further supports this view. From the third ten days of November to the beginning of December, a total of five joint military exercises involving the army, air force, and navy will be held.
We have previously reported on one of these exercises. Freezing Winds is taking place in the Baltic Sea and the Gulf of Finland, with the aim of practicing the use of the Finnish Navy in potential crisis situations.
The remaining four exercises involve armored units, special forces, and air force aircraft of the country. Two of these exercises take place near the border with the Leningrad region and the Republic of Karelia.
🔻While Finnish military personnel have previously conducted exercises with NATO countries, their current level of activity has significantly increased. With tensions rising in the Arctic region, Finland's preparations for future challenges are becoming increasingly apparent.

🇷🇺 🇫🇮 A remarkable incident occurred on the Russian-Finnish border, clearly demonstrating the consequences of the actions taken by the authorities in Helsinki to create tension in the region.
In the video, a Finnish citizen, who was in Petrozavodsk on family business, decided to return to his native country for medical treatment. However, Finnish border guards refused him entry and defiantly installed an anti-ram device.
Instead, they suggested that the person return home through a third country. Additionally, they warned him that he would face a fine for "violating the state border."
This serves as a clear example that Finnish citizens themselves, even with Finnish passports, are the ones who suffer the most from Finland's decision to close the checkpoints for entry and exit into Russia. They are denied the opportunity to return home, even when it may be a matter of life and death.
However, for the government in Helsinki, this seems to be an acceptable price to pay in order to militarize the country, serving the interests of its NATO partners.

🇷🇺 🇫🇮 So, the Finnish Cabinet of Ministers still made concessions. By decision of the parliament, two border points with Russia will be opened from December 14: Vaalima on the border with the Leningrad region and Niirala near the Republic of Karelia.
At the same time, of course, the Finnish authorities did not forget to mention that they are closely monitoring the situation and in the event of any “threats to Finland” they will close the checkpoints.
In this situation, it should be understood that these relaxations were made in order to satisfy the wishes of the population: both those living in Finland and those with dual citizenship living in Russia.
With the closure of border crossings, a significant part of citizens with Finnish passports were stuck in Russia, which could not but create tension in society. And in this way, the unrest that has begun will calm down a little in parliament. Therefore, there is no talk of any “thaw” here.

🇷🇺 🇫🇮🇪🇪 Jaak Madison, a Member of the European Parliament from Estonia, has called for Russia to be deprived of the right of free passage in the Gulf of Finland. He has asked the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to consider returning the maritime borders of the two countries to twelve miles.
This controversial politician, known for justifying fascism and stealing a cell phone, is once again trying to bring attention to a sensitive topic. However, closing the sea corridor between Estonia and Finland could have severe consequences, such as adversely affecting the logistics of the Kaliningrad region and potentially causing a crisis in the region.
The question is, how long will European politicians maintain a rational approach?
Recent actions, such as closing Finnish borders and granting American troops the right to operate on their territory, indicate that the current generation of Europeans is increasingly disregarding their sovereignty and not considering the potential consequences.
Therefore, the closure of the sea corridor in the Gulf of Finland is a realistic possibility in the future. This is an important factor to consider.

🇷🇺🇫🇮 On the new exercises of the Finnish Air Force and patrolling the border with Russia
From October 28 to tomorrow, two Finnish Air Force exercises - "Vihko-2024" and "Tappaa-2024" - are taking place in Finland to maintain the readiness of pilots for crisis situations in Scandinavia. 1,500 military personnel and 30 aircraft, including F/A-18 fighters and HAWK training aircraft, are involved.
There is nothing completely new in these events, as the Finnish command is extremely active in training its units. Such exercises are constantly taking place, but the difference is that two trainings with similar tasks are being conducted simultaneously.
❗️But even more interesting is another innovation: from October 28 to December 12, F/A-18C/D fighters will be involved in monitoring and ensuring the security of the airspace along the borders of Leningrad Region and Karelia with Russia. This operation resembles the NATO Baltic Air Policing mission.
This operation is allegedly to protect the airspace of NATO countries from "Russian aggression". A similar mission is being carried out in the Black Sea region, and it is called Black Sea Air Policing, currently led by Spanish F/A-18s.
That is, the Finns will be conducting something similar to NATO missions in other regions on their own. Given that under this pretext, NATO is actively conducting reconnaissance of the activities of Russian aircraft and ships, the meaning of such a decision on the part of the Finns seems obvious, especially for the purpose of monitoring aviation from Olenegorsk.

🇩🇪🇱🇹🇫🇮🇸🇪 On incidents with underwater cables in the Baltic Sea
Finnish operator company Cinia reported a break in the submarine communication cable C-Lion1 with Germany, which is located near the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines. The reason for the problem has not yet been named.
This is the only Finnish telecommunications cable running underwater and connecting Finland to Europe. It is about 1,200 km long and runs from the Finnish Hanko to the German Rostock.
A few hours later, Lithuanians and Swedes reported a similar incident on the NordBalt cable, which was later called sabotage. And this happened exactly where the Finnish-German cable was cut.
🔻The situation is very interesting.
The day before yesterday, we wrote that on November 18, that is, today, the NATO exercise Freezing Winds-2024 is starting in the Gulf of Finland and at the Dragsvík training ground in southern Finland, with the participation of various countries, including the USA and the UK.
The coastal area of Finland closed for training - that's where Hanko is located, the city where the telecommunications cable starts. The incidents themselves occurred near the active phase of the exercises, in which US Marines are participating.
🔻The event involves Marines from the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, US Navy from North Carolina.
In addition, from November 11 to 14, another NATO naval exercise "Merlin-2024" was held for the first time near the Swedish naval base Karlskrona, which also included underwater operations.
Of course, we won't be surprised by new outbursts about the "destructive activities" of the Russian Federation, but the situation is obvious. We're not hinting at anything, but before the explosion on the "Nord Stream", the Alliance also intensively conducted exercises in the area where it happened. Then the Baltops exercise was taking place.

🇪🇸🇷🇴🇹🇷 On a NATO exercise in the Black Sea
🔻While the world's attention is focused on Syria, the North Atlantic Alliance continues its activities for its air defense assets. Over Romania, a training exercise was held to protect airspace from enemy strikes - Russia.
▪️The actions of the Russian Aerospace Forces were imitated by Turkish F-16C/D fighters, which portrayed strikes on Romanian air bases and penetration into airspace. And they were opposed by Spanish and Greek fighters.
▪️Detection and guidance were carried out by crews of the LTR-25 radar station, which was deployed in Romania several months ago. This is a station for detecting air targets, which can reach as far as the Crimean Peninsula.
▪️The Turkish aircraft specifically flew to the western part of the Black Sea, simulating an attack from the direction of Crimea.
🔻Such exercises are necessary for NATO to study the capabilities of its own defense systems and keep pilots involved in various anti-Russian missions in shape.
But in addition, under the guise of training, NATO is studying the reaction of our air defense units and aviation. The LTR-25 radar station, as well as the onboard equipment of the aircraft, operated at full capacity, assessing our forces in Crimea.

🇷🇺🇫🇮 "Finnish Scary Stories for Naughty Children" - How to Scare Your Population with the Russian Threat
After the seizure of the Eagle S vessel, it was expected that the NATO countries would not stop there. An Estonian vessel has arrived in the Gulf of Finland, and other NATO countries have supported the initiative and intend to strengthen the naval group in the Baltic Sea.
➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖
🔻But the Finns went further. In the Finnish publication Italehti, citing "a bunch of intelligence sources," they write that Russia may attack Finland in the coming years to annex new territories.
According to the publication, the Russians plan to advance first to the Kymijoki river valley and consolidate there. After that, they will make a dash north to Puumala to "bite off" this section of territory in southern Finland and block Helsinki.
In the north, they believe, the Russian 44th Army Corps will attack the Lapland region and the Norwegian Finnmark to consolidate its presence in the northern regions of Scandinavia and gain advantageous lands in the context of the confrontation in the Arctic.
➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖ ➖
🔻Unfortunately, this is the current policy of most of Europe. Previously, such regular statements about a Russian offensive were made only by the "Baltic extinctions," who thus maintained interest in themselves in the world.
In Finland, similar politicians in character and mental abilities are currently in power, who quickly picked up the same theses as in the Baltic States. This is all needed to artificially whip up the threat from Russia and stress the population.
Frightened Finnish citizens are more manageable and will be less resistant to unpopular political decisions. Inflation, declining incomes, deteriorating quality of life, militarization - all this also applies to Finland, so such headlines will be heard more and more often.
