Enhanced IR #GOESEast imagery over Texas today is simply spectacular, especially the extensive outflow boundary pushing westward triggering more storms. So great to be living the #GOESR-era. #GOESU is set to launch 3 WEEKS FROM TODAY from @NASAKennedy! On board will be an instrument totally new to the #GOESR series called the Compact Coronagraph. (this is why GOES-U will take over as #GOESEAST) Learn more from @NOAASatellites at https://t.co/6qfo8lmQUp. #ReadytoGOES https://t.co/hr9i6HInFA

The #GOESU launch is one week from today! This is the last satellite in the GOES-R Series, carrying a new instrument to monitor the Sun. CIMSS is grateful to NOAA for supporting a teacher workshop at the event, book-ending the #GOESR workshop in 2016. It's going to be a blast! πŸš€ https://t.co/JYySJuYXtf
