Знаковым стало и решение агентства FDA выпустить “экстренную” лицензию на использование антималярийных препаратов для лечения пациентов с COVID-19. Гидроксихлорохин и хлорохин уже применяются врачами “экспериметально” благодаря недавнему указу Трампа о “праве пациентов на милосердие”. Но теперь это может делаться и вполне официально.
В обычных условиях получить разрешение FDA требует годы работы - но в условиях настоящего кризиса оказывается, что такого можно добиться буквально за несколько недель. Очевидным последствием эпидемии может стать не только возвращение производства медикаментов из Китая в США, но и дерегулирование процедуры их выпуска на рынок.
