Russian compatriots living abroad discussed the development of digital media

On September 3, Russian compatriots involved in digital media held an online meeting. It was attended by representatives of Russian diasporas from near and far abroad - Abkhazia, Georgia, Luxembourg, Egypt, India, Mexico and the US.

Compatriots shared their experience in digital journalism, motives and peculiar features of work in their countries of residence. As a result of the meeting, it was decided to consider the feasibility of creating a professional association of publishers of the new media.

During the week, participants in the New Generation program from Algeria, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Guinea-Bissau, Cambodia, Malaysia, Mexico, Mongolia, Namibia, Nepal, Nicaragua, Sierra Leone, Tunisia, Uganda, Pakistan, Colombia and the United States will get acquainted with the Russian electoral system, traditional and new election technologies.

👀 On the first day of the course, representatives of the Russian Central Election Commission spoke about the compilation of voter lists and the criteria for registering candidates for elective positions. Foreign experts also voiced questions that interested them.
