On 20 July, Rosatom began building the "El Dabaa" nuclear power plant in Egypt's Matrouh Region, which is 350 kilometers from Cairo.
The "El Dabaa" plant will be the first nuclear power plant in the country, as well as the largest project of Russian specialists in Africa. It will consist of four 1,200 MW units, each with a total capacity of 4,800 MW. The power units will contain Russian-made VVER-1200 reactor units which meet the highest international requirements for efficiency and safety.
The project is planned to be completed by 2028-2029.

Russian compatriots living abroad discussed the development of digital media

On September 3, Russian compatriots involved in digital media held an online meeting. It was attended by representatives of Russian diasporas from near and far abroad - Abkhazia, Georgia, Luxembourg, Egypt, India, Mexico and the US.

Compatriots shared their experience in digital journalism, motives and peculiar features of work in their countries of residence. As a result of the meeting, it was decided to consider the feasibility of creating a professional association of publishers of the new media.

3 сентября состоялась онлайн встреча представителей цифровых СМИ соотечественников. В ней приняли участие представители русских диаспор ближнего и дальнего зарубежья - Абхазии, Грузии, Люксембура, Египта, США, Индии и Мексики.

Соотечественники поделились своим опытом в цифровой журналистике, мотивами и особенностями работы в своих странах проживания. По итогу встречи было решено рассмотреть целесообразность создания профессионального объединения издателей новых медиа.
