🎖️In wartime clothes, they waltzed in Moscow on Poklonnaya Hill to the accompaniment of an orchestra, just as our grandparents did on May 9, 1945. Together they were able to create a touching film adaptation that embodied the atmosphere of that time.
🎭The agency expresses gratitude to the Russian Institute of Theater Arts - GITIS and the Victory Museum, which provided support in the implementation of this project.

Our superheroes - veterans who stopped the rapidly spreading Nazism and human slaughter during the World War II. According to the data, only less than 14 thousand veterans are still alive in Russia. Whereas the human losses of the Soviet Union are rounded to 27 million people, most of which were civilians.
Almost all veterans talk about the spiritual awakening they experienced during the war years, despite hardships and grief. Not only they defended their Motherland, but also liberated the people of European countries from the Nazi dominance.
❤️ These veterans are luckily still among us. It is based on them that we can correctly build our attitude towards the Motherland and towards the need to defend our values.
🕊 We heartily congratulate everyone with the Victory Day and wish you health, well-being and peace!

This year we celebrate the Victory Day with Galina Pavlovna Brock-Beltsova, the only living female navigator from the 125th Air Regiment, which the Germans nicknamed “Night Witches”.
She has dozens of combat missions under her belt on a Pe-2 bomber, and in 1944 she took part in Operation Bagration to liberate Belarus.

On May 10, students of the Russian House in Kolkata joined the global campaign "St. George's Ribbon". In memory of the Soviet heroes of the World War II, they unfurled a 5-meter St. George ribbon and performed the famous song “Katyusha” in Russian language.

The students of the Institute of Russian language, Russian House in Kolkata organised a concert dedicated to the 79th anniversary of Victory over fascism on Friday, May 10th.
The programme included recitation of poems ,rendition of wartime songs and reading of letters from the front. Exhibition of photographs depicting moments of the Second Word war was prepared for the event.
In memory of the heroes, students took part in the world campaign "St. George's Ribbon".

В пятницу, 10 мая, студенты Института русского языка при Русском доме в Калькутте организовали концерт, посвященный 79-летию Победы над фашизмом.

Every corner of this city is steeped in history. Originally, it was known as Tsaritsyn, and from 1925 to 1961 it was called Stalingrad. During the Great Patriotic War, one of the largest battles - the Battle of Stalingrad - took place here. We are going to tell about famous places of Volgograd.
⭐️ Mamayev Kurgan
The memorial was opened in 1967, it is the most significant point in the history of the Battle of Stalingrad. The Kurgan was defended for 140 days. In memory of the defenders of the city, in 1967 the monument-ensemble "Heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad" was built here. Since that time Mamayev Kurgan has become the most visited place among tourists.
⭐️ Museum-Reserve "The Battle of Stalingrad"
It includes a complex of sculptures on the Mamayev Kurgan, the Memorial and Historical Museum and the Memory Museum in the building of the Central Department Store. There are authentic wartime exhibits inside and the ruins of a steam mill outside. During the Battle of Stalingrad it became a point of defense, which the German army failed to capture.
☀️ Alley of Heroes
This place represents the central point of the city, the zero kilometer, the beginning of all roads. Closer to the Square of the Fallen Fighters there is a mass grave. Above it rises an obelisk erected in honor of the soldiers of Stalingrad and Red Tsaritsyn. The Eternal Flame burns here, and not far from it there is a natural monument - a poplar tree, famous for having survived the Battle of Stalingrad.

Young Russian compatriots from the "School of Historians and Archivists" visited the Federal War Memorial "Pantheon of Defenders of the Fatherland".
👍 The children learned the history of the creation of the largest war memorial in Russia, delved into the biographies of people significant for the history of Russia, such as Aleksey Arkhipovich Leonov and Mikhail Timofeevich Kalashnikov, and also laid flowers at the memorial to the unknown soldier.

📕The Foundation for the Study of Historical Perspective presented books in Russian and English about the events of the Great Patriotic War:
📝 "Miracle in the East. Western war correspondents report" is a collection of materials and articles by war correspondents of English and American media - "Time", "Newsweek", "New Your Times", "Chicago Tribune", "Washington Post" - during the Great Patriotic War, translated into Russian.
📖The English version of the book - "Miracle in the East: Western war correspondents report. 1941-1945" - is presented as a multimedia electronic project.
Along with texts by famous Western authors, it contains photo, video and audio files related to the events of the war years described by journalists. Among them are Winston Churchill's speech on support for the USSR on June 22, 1941, the radio show "The Last Days of Sevastopol", a report by a BBC correspondent from besieged Stalingrad and others.
"Our task, our duty, our obligation to history and to those who died then is not only to defend this Victory, but to proudly carry its banner. Returning stolen meanings is a very important task," emphasized the President of the Foundation Natalia Alekseyevna Narochnitskaya.
The publications were published with the support of the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives as part of the grant project "Returning Stolen Meanings. The Truth about the Great Patriotic War in the English-Language Press of 1941-1945".

📕Фонд изучения исторической перспективы представил книги на русском и английском языках о событиях Великой Отечественной войны:
📝 «Чудо на Востоке. Западные военкоры рассказывают» — сборник материалов и статей военкоров английских и американских СМИ — "Time", "Newsweek", "New Your Times", "Chicago Tribune", "Washington Post" — за период Великой Отечественной войны, переведенных на русский язык.
📖Английская версия книги — «Miracle in the East: Western war correspondents report. 1941-1945» — представлена в виде мультимедийного электронного проекта.

Вместе с текстами известных западных авторов, она содержит фото-, видео- и аудиофайлы, связанные с описываемыми журналистами событиями военных лет. Среди них — речь Уинстона Черчилля о поддержке СССР от 22 июня 1941 года, радиопостановка «Последние дни Севастополя», репортаж корреспондента BBC из осажденного Сталинграда и другие.
«Наша задача, наша обязанность, наш долг перед историей и перед павшими тогда — не только защитить эту Победу, но нести гордо её знамя. Возвращение украденных смыслов — очень важная задача», — подчеркнула президент Фонда Наталия Алексеевна Нарочницкая.
Издания выпущены при поддержке Президентского фонда культурных инициатив в рамках грантового проекта «Возвращение украденных смыслов. Правда о Великой Отечественной войне в англоязычной прессе 1941-1945 гг.».
