Russian physicists from the Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod have created a nanofilm to power spacecrafts and charge gadgets. It converts heat into electricity.
Thermoelectric converters generate electricity from the temperature difference between two points. The converters are capable of working almost anywhere.
According to scientists, such thin-film converters could be used to charge mobile gadgets or be embedded in spacecraft as a lightweight energy source.

The Russian national team became the absolute champion in terms of the number of points scored.
