The opening ceremony of the 29th KIFF Kolkata International Film Festival took place in Kolkata, which will be held from December 5 to 12, 2023.

The festival will feature Russian films by Pavel Lungin, Maxim Shabalin and Dmitry Kiselev. Pavel Lungin is a jury chairperson.

Kolkata foodies got acquainted with the Russian cuisine

🥞 On 20 January, Russian Consulate General organized an evening of the Russian cuisine. The event took place at the Russian House in Kolkata, where an exhibition of folk crafts and a video presentation of Russia’s tourism potential were also prepared. The Indian Association of Russian Compatriots provided organizational support and a presentation of Russian costume and headdresses, which visitors tried on with pleasure.

Russian pelmeni, salmon blini, pies and salads, as well as the warm atmosphere of the evening were highly appreciated by diplomats, businessmen, students, and Russian compatriots.

Калькуттские гурманы познакомились с русской кухней

🥞 20 января Генеральное консульство России в Калькутте организовало вечер русской кухни. Мероприятие прошло на площадке Русского дома, где также была подготовлена выставка народных промыслов и видеопрезентация туристического потенциала России. Индийская ассоциация российских соотечественников оказала организационную поддержку, презентацию русского костюма и головных уборов, которые с удовольствием примерили посетители.

Русские пельмени, блины с лососем, пирожки и салаты, а также тёплую атмосферу вечера высоко оценили как дипломатические работники, бизнесмены, студенты, так и российские соотечественники.

🇷🇺 🇮🇳 Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with students

On July 9, Indian students from the National Research Nuclear University #MEPhI and other universities in the country had a chance to interact with the wotld leaders at the Atom pavilion of the international exhibition and forum "Russia".

The pavilion presented by the Rosatom, Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation, displays the history, current projects and the future potential of the nuclear power usage. Nuclear collaboration between Russia and India did not stop even in the turbulent 1990s.

Soumojit Mukherjee, a PhD scholarship student from India, explained the opportunities of nuclear power in food preservation in hot climates like in his homeland India. President Putin pointed on the importance of having such valuable professionals, in developing the collaborative projects and strengthening of the bilateral partnership.

✅️ This year, Russia sees record growth in number of foreign students Almost 355,000 students from around the world are studying at Russian universities. This is the largest number of foreigners studying in the new Russia since 1990.

9 июля индийские студенты из Национального исследовательского ядерного университета #МИФИ и других университетов страны смогли пообщаться с мировыми лидерами в павильоне «Атом» международной выставки-форума «Россия».

В павильоне представлена ​​история, текущие проекты и будущий потенциал использования ядерной энергии. Ядерное сотрудничество между Россией и Индией не прекращалось даже в бурные 1990-е годы.
