«Europe-Asia Dialogue: Building the Future Together» session of the #WYF2024 discussion program was a true success! 👏
If you’ve been following us for a while, you know that an online-session «Europe-Asia Dialogue» gathered 1500 registrations in October 2023. That’s why it’s been decided to hold such an event at the Festival. And this session was no different - so many people gathered to listen to our speakers, we had to bring extra chairs!
🌐 Let us remind you of the concept - 1 speaker from Asia, and 1 speaker from Europe give presentations on the same topic. This session gave our distinguished speakers an opportunity to express their desire to continue building a bridge between two continents. That’s why they have signed a declaration saying that they are «convinced that this format is optimal for strengthening cooperation between European and Asian countries».
❤️ We are excited to see how the World Youth Festival 2024 creates the basis for an equal dialogue between young people from different countries!

🌎 The World Youth Festival continues on the Sirius Federal Territory of Russia. This is where more than 20 thousand participants from 190 countries are now located.
Delegates will be able to take part in 800 events, including round tables, lectures, discussions, master classes, panel sessions, training sessions, exhibitions, concerts, etc.
From March 10 to 17, foreign participants will travel to 30 Russian cities as part of the regional Navy program.
And tomorrow, March 5, from 13:30-15:30, the Kindest Strategic Session will take place: “Mission Good”, which will be held by Rossotrudnichestvo together with the AVC (Yablochkov Hall. Chekhov). A detailed program of other events can be found at: https://fest2024.com/announcement

Yesterday, more than 1,500 #WYF2024 participants from dozens of countries came to the start of the race «Towards each other», during which they covered 4,600 meters on the track of Sochi Autodrom🏃
The race united the whole world and proved the importance of uniting young people representing different countries, cultures, religions, and traditions🌍

The #WYF2024 regional program has started! ⚡️
🚂 From the World Youth City, two thousand participants traveled to 30 Russian cities to learn more about Russia, its cultural heritage, historical legacy, nature, economic potential and national diversity of peoples.
The program included 5 thematic routes: «Living and working in Russia», «Road of memory», «Land without borders», «We are back with Russia» and the International RUSSIA EXPO.
🇷🇺 By the way, regardless of the chosen route, foreign guests will spend 3 days in Moscow and visit the International RUSSIA EXPO to get acquainted with the achievements of all regions of our country.
And, of course, they will not miss a rich educational program. The Russian «Znanie» Society has prepared about 200 events in 89 regions of Russia.

The program included 5 thematic routes: «Living and working in Russia», «Road of memory», «Land without borders», «We are back with Russia» and the International RUSSIA EXPO.

School student from Kolkata attended the World Youth Festival 2024
✈️ A Russian compatriot and student of the Calcutta International School, Artur Kol was one of three under 18 y.o. students from India at the World Youth Festival, held from March 1 to 7 in Russia. He joined the Indian delegation in New Delhi and took a charter flight to Sochi. The delegation was one of the largest: 360 people from various states of India, including 8 participants from the Russian House in Kolkata.
The World Youth Festival brought together 20,000 young Russian and foreign leaders in such areas as business, media, international cooperation, culture, science, education, volunteering and charity, and sports. In addition to adult participants from 18 to 35 years old, there were also teenagers representing children's organizations and associations at the festival. In the under 18 category, the festival was attended by 2 thousand children.
As part of the festival, Artur attended master classes, youth events and worked on the “Transport Hub” project, organized by Russian Railways. On March 6, Artur was selected to participate in an open discussion with the President of the Russian Federation. The selection process was conducted confidentially. For more than 2 hours, Vladimir Putin spoke with a select audience of about 150 people.
The World Youth Festival 2024 is the largest youth event in the world, organized by the Russian Government. More than 800 events of various formats and spheres of public life took place during the festival.

Школьник из Калькутты посетил Всемирный фестиваль молодежи 2024
✈️ Российский соотечественник и ученик Калькуттской международной школы, Артур Кол был одним из трёх школьников из Индии на Всемирном фестивале молодёжи, прошедшем с 1 по 7 марта в России. Он присоединился к индийской делегации в Нью-Дели и вместе со всеми отправился чартерным рейсом в Сочи. Делегация была одной из самых многочисленных: 360 человек из различных штатов Индии, включая 8 человек от Русского дома в Калькутте.
Всемирный фестиваль молодежи собрал 20 000 молодых российских и зарубежных лидеров в таких сферах, как бизнес, СМИ, международное сотрудничество, культура, наука, образование, волонтерство и благотворительность, спорт. Кроме взрослых участников от 18 до 35 лет на фестивале были и подростки, представляющие детские организации и объединения. В категории до 18 лет фестиваль посетило 2 тысячи детей.
В рамках фестиваля Артур посещал мастер-классы, молодежные мероприятия и работал над проектом «Транспортный узел», организованным Российскими железными дорогами. 6 марта Артур был отобран для участия в открытой дискуссии с Президентом Российской Федерации. Процесс отбора проходил конфиденциально ввиду. Более 2 часов Владимир Путин общался с избранной аудиторией численностью около 150 человек.
Всемирный фестиваль молодежи 2024 — крупнейшее молодежное мероприятие мира, организованное Правительством России. Более 800 мероприятий различных форматов и сфер общественной жизни прошло в ходе фестиваля.

Participants of the #WYF2024 regional program took to the ice at the Fetisov Arena, home of KHL club Admiral from Vladivostok ⚓️
Many of the participants put on skates for the first time in their lives, and some even picked up a stick! 🏒
Thanks to the coaches and arena staff, everyone was able to participate in one of the traditional Russian sports and get a lot of positive emotions and impressions😍
Vladivostok - one of the two Youth Capitals of Russia in 2024 - has prepared an extensive program for the foreign participants of the festival, about which we will tell you more later. Stay tuned!🔜

Three participants of the World Youth Festival 2024 met at the Maslenitsa festival in Kolkata
🌏 Somoshri Paladhi, Post-Graduate Student of Comparative Literature, shares her experience at the World Youth Festival held at the Sirius Federal Territory, Russia.
💬 "It was truly extraordinary... From the colorful airport welcome to warm embraces from volunteers, every moment I felt like a celebrity on the red carpet. The festival, spanning from March 1st to 7th, brought together people from Egypt to China, fostering cross-cultural bonds.
The festival began with
a grand opening ceremony featuring talented artists, performers, and singers. During the ceremony, I had the chance to listen to the soulful voice of the renowned Russian singer,
Polina Gagarina, as she sang “A Milion Voices” – a song that perfectly went in tune with the festival.
The event venue, akin to a bustling city, housed diverse activities and pavilions showcasing Russian traditions. Grand concerts, fun games, and engaging activities like graffiti making added to the excitement, as I had fun exploring and participating in them.
Further, on one of the days of the festival, the World Youth Parade took place, where participants joined in their traditional attire. It was such an immersive and one-of-a-kind
experience to see and feel 20,000 participants worldwide, walking in a parade, singing songs, and breaking into their traditional and regional cultural performances!
🌊 From exploring Sochi's scenic beauty at the port to relishing the mouthwatering Russian cuisine, remained as delightful highlights for me during the festival.
I entered Sochi with a bag filled with my belongings and left the city, with a heart brimming with love and memories that will remain in me until I again get to become another participant to yet another World Youth Festival just like this!"

💬 «Это было действительно необычно. От красочного приветствия в аэропорту до теплых объятий волонтеров - каждое мгновение я чувствовала себя знаменитостью на красной дорожке. Фестиваль, прошедший с 1 по 7 марта, собрал людей от Египта до Китая, способствуя развитию межкультурных связей.
Фестиваль начался с торжественной церемония открытия с участием талантливых артистов, исполнителей и певцов. Во время церемонии мне довелось услышать задушевный голос известной российской певицы. Полина Гагарина исполнила «Миллион голосов» – песню, которая идеально подошла к фестивалю.
Площадка мероприятия, напоминающая шумный город, включала разнообразные мероприятия и павильоны, демонстрирующие русские традиции. Грандиозные концерты, веселые игры и увлекательные занятия, такие как создание граффити, добавляли азарта, поскольку мне было весело исследовать их и участвовать в них.
Далее в один из дней фестиваля состоялся Всемирный парад молодежи, участники которого вышли в традиционных нарядах. Foreign #WYF2024 participants reached Yekaterinburg, where they received the warmest possible welcome! 🥰
In the unofficial capital of the Urals, the guests were able to ride the retro train «Ural Express» and visit the Museum Complex of Military and Civilian Equipment, and they also:
✅ met with the region's leadership,
✅ took part in «Fun Starts»,
✅ celebrated Shrovetide,
✅ visited the border between Europe and Asia,
✅ as well as visited the Nevyanskaya Tower, Maslikov's pottery workshop, Kirillov's blacksmith's house, the Church on the Blood, and Sevastyanov's house, a visiting card of Yekaterinburg.

The First Meeting of the International Association of Children's Organizations was held in Moscow 🇷🇺
The forum was held within the framework of the International Festival of the Movement of the First. Representatives of more than 40 countries and all regions of Russia immersed themselves in the colorful program of the festival. Excursions to the large RUSSIA EXPO and interactive lectures of leading experts were organized for the participants, which broadened their horizons and inspired them with new ideas.
🌐 At the end of the meeting of the International Association of Children's Organizations the final strategic session was held, during which the participants were able to share knowledge, work in teams, show their creativity and strong qualities in solving cases, as well as develop and present ideas for projects aimed at preserving the legacy of #WYF2024 and developing international youth cooperation.
We did a great job and our first meeting is just the beginning of a great journey together🚀

🌏 The Arctic expedition "Icebreaker of Knowledge" is going international
Next week, the 5th Arctic expedition "Icebreaker of Knowledge" will depart from Murmansk, organized with the support of the state corporation "Rosatom" and the Russian society "Knowledge".
The passengers of the nuclear icebreaker "50 Years of Victory" will be the winners of the open competition of the "Icebreaker of Knowledge" project, the finalists of the all-Russian competition "Big Change" and the participants of the "Juniors of Rosatom" movement, as well as talented schoolchildren from Russia, Mongolia, Hungary, India, China and South Africa.
A team of experts is responsible for the educational program, which includes Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences Artem Oganov, popularizer Stanislav Drobyshevsky, CEO of the Russian society "Knowledge" Maxim Dreval, Director of the Department of Sustainable Development of the state corporation "Rosatom" Polina Lyon, actor Mark Eidelstein and participants of the World Youth Festival in Sochi.

🚢 🌍 On August 17, retracing the first Soviet expedition to the North Pole, the international team of "Icebreaker of Knowledge - 2024" aboard the nuclear-powered icebreaker "50 Let Pobedy" (50 Years of Victory) has reached the North Pole!
🗺 For the first time in the project's history, representatives from the World Youth Festival from 15 countries are taking part in the journey: Russia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Mongolia, Hungary, India, China, South Africa, Cameroon, Iraq, Bangladesh, and Tunisia.
👨🏫 During the expedition, participants will:
- Familiarize themselves with the icebreaker's operations
- Study the unique Arctic nature
- Take part in the northernmost lecture series by Rosatom and the Russian Society "Znanie"
- Send postcards from the northernmost post office on Franz Josef Land
- Become stars of the first documentary series about the life of an international team of schoolchildren in the hard Arctic conditions.

#WYF2024 participant Israa Ska from France took the initiative at the Eurasian Women's Forum taking place these days in St. Petersburg 📍
The Sorbonne University student took part in the plenary session «Women for Confidence Building and Global Cooperation»🌐
In her speech, Israa said that at the World Youth Festival she met a lot of interesting young women leaders from different professional fields. And now she wants to build on this networking.
✅ She suggested organizing a mentoring program between young women and senior mentors, which would help to share practical experiences in different fields more effectively for further professional development.
✅ Israa also suggested creating a regular youth track on women's leadership, building on the community of young women gathered at #WYF2024. This program will be able to bring together young women leaders from different regions and give them the opportunity:
🔵 to participate in leadership workshops
🔵 to participate in professional development activities
🔵 and to work in teams on real projects to address professional gender issues in their communities.
