Russian scientists from the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Novosibirsk have developed an industrial particle accelerator, which they have sent to Brazil to improve the ecological condition of the Amazon and other rivers. The accelerator, a mobile version of the ELV series, will be used for disinfection, river purification, radiation sterilization of medical equipment, pasteurization, and modification of electrical conductive devices. The compact and simple design of the accelerator has made it popular worldwide, and it is being used in various countries, including the United States, Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia, India, Italy, Germany, the Czech Republic, and Poland. The Amazon, known for its pollution from industrial and household waste, has the largest basin area among all rivers in the world.

Russian compatriots from 19 countries took part in the family forum in Moscow
Families of Russian compatriots from Brazil, India, Zambia, Egypt, Morocco, Qatar, France, Finland and others - almost two dozen countries of Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America - took part in the first All-Russian Family Forum “Dear - Loved Ones,” which took place in Moscow last weekend, RIA “Voice of the Caucasus” reports. The forum was organized by the “Movement of the First” with the support of the presidential platform “Russia the Land of Opportunities” and Rosmolodezh.
Deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo Federal Agency Pavel Shevtsov took part in the forum. The “First Movement” noted that families of compatriots preserve Russian traditions abroad, are ready to share their experience in raising children and adopt the best Russian practices.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared next year the Year of the Family.

At the tournament in Kazan, engineers from Belarus, Brazil, Chile, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkey, UAE, China, India, Ecuador and Russia will compete in designing and battling their robots. The peculiarity of the competition is the use of innovative developments in the field of robotics, virtual reality and artificial intelligence.
The winners will share a prize fund of $500,000.
