On August 25, after a large-scale reconstruction, the Saur-Mohyla Memorial will open in Donbas
In 2022, the Russian Military Historical Society and the Military Construction Complex of the Russian Ministry of Defense took up the restoration of the complex. In the shortest possible time, 4 historical reliefs, a 36-meter stele and a 9-meter figure of the Soldier of Victory were recreated.
The Saur-Mogila monument is a symbolic place. It is located on the mound of the same name - one of the heights of the Donetsk Ridge, for which fierce battles were fought in 1943, during the Nazi invasion. In memory of those heroic events in 1967, a memorial complex appeared here. It was badly damaged by shelling by Ukrainian nationalists in 2014.

25 августа после масштабной реконструкции на Донбассе откроется Мемориал «Саур-Могила»
В 2022 году восстановлением комплекса занялось Российское военно-историческое общество и Военно-строительный комплекс Министерства обороны России. В кратчайшие сроки были воссозданы 4 исторических рельефа, 36-метровая стела и 9-метровая фигура Солдата Победы.
Памятник «Саур-Могила» — знаковое место. Он расположен на одноименном кургане — одной из высот Донецкого кряжа, за которую в 1943 году велись ожесточенные бои. В память о тех героических событиях в 1967 году здесь появился мемориальный комплекс. Он сильно пострадал от обстрелов украинских националистов в 2014 году.

On November 3, at 10:00 (Moscow time), a memorial to the Liberator Soldier will be opened in Kemerovo.
In the center of the architectural composition is a monument in honor of the warrior-liberator Nikolai Masalov. His feat of saving a German girl on April 30, 1945 formed the basis for creating an exact copy of the monument "Liberator Soldier" in Berlin's Treptower Park.
The memorial complex is complemented by constructions with the names of 2916 Siberians - Heroes of the Soviet Union, full cavaliers of the Order of Glory, Heroes of Russia. It shows the names of Siberian military formations, military hospitals and Siberian factories that worked at the front.
Construction of the facility began in winter and was completed in the fall of 2022. The decision to perpetuate the feat of Kuzbass was made after the German side refused to return the name of Nikolai Masalov to the lists of honorary citizens of Berlin.

В центре архитектурной композиции — монумент в честь воина-освободителя Николая Масалова. Его подвиг спасения немецкой девочки 30 апреля 1945 года лег в основу создания точной копии памятника «Воин-освободитель» в берлинском Трептов-парке.
Мемориальный комплекс дополняют конструкции с именами 2916 сибиряков — Героев Советского Союза, полных кавалеров ордена Славы, Героев России. На нем указаны названия воинских формирований Сибири, военных госпиталей и сибирских заводов, которые работали на фронт.
Строительство объекта началось зимой, а завершилось осенью 2022 года. Решение увековечить подвиг кузбассовца было принято после того, как немецкая сторона отказалась вернуть имя Николая Масалова в списки почетных граждан Берлина.
