On August 16, young Russian compatriots from different countries on their trip under the "Hello, Russia" program, got acquainted with the history of the city of Samara.

The guys visited the Chirch of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, then an unusual place awaited them - the bunker of Joseph Stalin during the Great Patriotic War. The participants descended 12 floors underground.

Then everyone went to the embankment of the Volga river and took pictures, and then visited the Pyotr Alabin Local History Museum.

After such a rich program, the guys went to the Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.

16 августа юные соотечественники познакомились с историей города Самара в рамках программы "Здравствуй, Россия!"

Ребята посетили Храм Пресвятого Сердца Иисуса, затем их ждало необычное место - бункер Иосифа Сталина времён Великой Отечественной войны. Участники спустились на 12 этажей под землю.

Затем все отправились на набережную, любовались Волгой и фотографировались, а затем посетили историко-краеведческий музей имени Петра Алабина.

После такой насыщенной программы ребята отправились в Самарский академический театр оперы и балета.

"Hello, Russia!" program for young Russian compatriots came to its end. They visited cities of Khanty-Mansiysk, Samara and Pskov. In total, more than 150 teenagers from 22 countries of the world came to Russia.

They traveled around Russia, got acquainted with its culture and found friends from different countries.

Завершилась программа «Здравствуй, Россия!» для юных соотечественников от 14 до 19 лет. Они посетили Ханты-Мансийск, Самару и Псков. Всего в Россию приехало более 150 ребят из 22 стран мира.

Ребята путешествовали по России, знакомились с её культурой и находили друзей из разных стран.

Scientists from Samara University have developed and tested miniature lenses of a new type, which will simplify and reduce the cost of optical systems for unmanned aerial vehicles and nanosatellites. The lenses are intended for use in solving tasks of environmental monitoring and smart agriculture. They will accelerate the processing of data obtained from space and do not require complex computer information processing. The lenses can also be used for remote monitoring of agricultural crops and in biomedical research.

Линзы предназначены для использования при решении задач экологического мониторинга и умного земледелия. On the bank of the Volga River, in Samara, there is a very unusual sight for Russia - the Sacred Heart Church in neo-Gothic style. The temple was built by representatives of the Samara Catholic community.

✝️ Where did Catholics come from in Samara? After the Russo-Polish War some Poles wanted to serve the Russian Tsar. As a reward, they received lands in the south and east, including on the Volga. In the nineteenth century their community was enlarged by those who had been expelled from Poland.

⛪️ In 1887 they received permission to build a house of worship. Soon a small wooden building was erected, and in 1902 the construction of a stone church began, designed by architects Thomas Bogdanovich and Alexander Shcherbachev.

In 1906 the temple was consecrated and operated until the 1920s. In the Soviet years it was a cinema, children's theater, theater technical school and a department of the Local History Museum. In 1996 the church was restored and re-consecrated. Today, representatives of all Christian denominations are welcome in the Polish church, it has a library and a Bible circle, as well as a Catholic newspaper.

⛪️ В 1887 году получили разрешение на строительство молитвенного дома. Вскоре было возведено небольшое деревянное здание, а в 1902 году началось строительство каменного храма по проекту архитекторов Фомы Богдановича и Александра Щербачева.

В 1906 году храм был освящен и действовал до 1920-х годов. В советские годы здесь был кинотеатр, детский театр, театральный техникум и отдел Краеведческого музея. В 1996 году церковь была восстановлена ​​и повторно освящена. Autumn is a magical time when nature is transformed and painted in bright colors. There are cities in Russia that look particularly impressive at this time of year. We will tell you about three of them.

🍂 Kronstadt, Saint Petersburg
Of particular interest in the city is the "Island of Forts" with strolling alleys, panoramic swings and a rock garden. You can see sculptures and monuments, and take a look at the Nikolsky Naval Cathedral, the main church of the Russian Navy. It's also worth traveling to the western part of Kotlin Island, where the Reef Fort is located.

🍃 Samarskaya Luka, Samara region
This is a national park where the Zhigulev Mountains rise above the Volga River. The place attracts both hikers and climbers. It is worth visiting the Kuibyshev reservoir, which is often compared to Lake Baikal. Here you can see the park from the top of Strelnaya Mountain, look for Peter the Great's autograph on Lysaya Gora, visit the house-museum of artist Ilya Repin in Shiryaevo.

🍁 Plyos, Ivanovo region
Plyos has remained almost the same as it was two hundred years ago. You can admire the golden autumn here in late September - early October. Once in the town, you should walk along the ancient streets, look into the House-Museum of Isaak Levitan and try local pies with bream - "ugli". On Sobornaya Gora you can take stunning photos and see artists who paint Volga landscapes.

🍂 Кронштадт, Санкт-Петербург
Особый интерес в городе представляет «Остров фортов» с прогулочными аллеями, панорамными качелями и садом камней. Можно рассмотреть скульптуры и памятники, заглянуть в Никольский Морской собор — главный храм российского флота. Стоит также отправиться на западную часть острова Котлин, где находится форт «Риф».

🍃 Самарская лука, Самарская область
Это национальный парк, где над Волгой возвышаются Жигулевские горы. Место привлекает как любителей пешего туризма, так и скалолазов. Стоит посетить Куйбышевское водохранилище, которое часто сравнивают с Байкалом. Здесь можно осмотреть парк с вершины горы Стрельной, поискать автограф Петра Первого на Лысой горе, посетить дом-музей художника Ильи Репина в Ширяево.

🍁 Плес, Ивановская область
Плес остался практически таким же, каким был двести лет назад. Полюбоваться золотой осенью здесь можно в конце сентября — начале октября. Оказавшись в городе, стоит прогуляться по старинным улицам, заглянуть в Дом-музей Исаака Левитана и попробовать местные пирожки с лещом — «углы». На Соборной горе можно сделать потрясающие снимки и увидеть художников, которые пишут волжские пейзажи.
