On 12 April 2022, in commemoration of the 61st anniversary of the first space flight with a pilot cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, Russian House in Kolkata have opened an exhibition of photographs and books. Dr. M. Nara Singh, Former Minister of Science, Technology and Culture of Manipur, has inaugurated the exhibition.

Kolkata celebrates 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between India and Russia
On June 27th, 2022 Consul General of the Russian Federation in Kolkata, Mr. Alexey Idamkin and Vice Chancellor of Jadavpur University, Dr. Suranjan Das, have inaugurated an exhibition of artworks, archival photographs, books, periodicals and postage stamps, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and India. The exhibition was organized by the Russian House in Kolkata, Gorky Sadan and involved participation of Indian and Russian artists.
In his address speech, Consul General has stressed that the formal establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and India became a major landmark, since the two countries' ties had been transformed into the solid foundational law.
Dr. Suranjan Das spoke on the enormous support which India had received from the USSR and modern Russia in terms of the foreign policy and protection of India's interests.
Graduates of the Russian language courses at the Russian House in Kolkata presented their performances of a Rabindranath Tagore poem in the original Bengali language and a song with lyrics by R. Tagore in Russian, which gained popularity in USSR, after being featured in a movie 'Love and Lies' ("Вам и не снилось", 1981).
Honorable guests have examined the exhibition and interacted with artists and journalists.
The exhibition will remain open for public viewing on weekdays till July, 6th from 3 to 6 p.m.

The historical and documentary exhibition “The Great Patriotic War. June 22, 1941 – November 19, 1942” will be opened in the Exhibition hall of the Federal Archives in Moscow at 10:00 a.m. on November 29, 2022.
The exhibition is devoted to the period of the Great Patriotic War lasted from the Wehrmacht’s invasion on June 22, 1941 till November 19, 1942 when the Soviet Army launched a counter-attack near Stalingrad. It was a turning point in the war.
The exposition consists of more than 400 achieve documents. Visitors will see main historical sources of the Great Patriotic War: documents of senior state and party institutions, Foreign and Defence Ministries of the Soviet Union, intelligence reports, military maps, photos, newsreels etc.

A commemorative session on a Bengali filmmaker Satyajit Ray held at the Russian House in Kolkata
On 27 December, Russian House in Kolkata jointly with Tapan Sinha Foundation, Cine Central-Calcutta, North Calcutta Film Society, Ekhon Satyajit and Eisenstein Cine Club organized a talk at the opening of an exhibition, dedicated to a famous Indian filmmaker, screenwriter and author Satyajit Ray (1921-1992).
Sergey V. Shushin, director of the Russian House, addressed the audience with a welcome speech on contributions of Satyajit Ray to the cinema and the artworld.
Eminent editor and art critic Samik Bandopadhyay spoke on the legacy of the great filmmaker and distinctive characters of his works.
The exhibition dedicated to Satyajit Ray consists of photographs, books, magazines, postal envelopes and stamps. It will be open to public on December 28-29, 4 to 7 p.m.

On 7 August, Russian House in Kolkata held the inauguration ceremony of thd exhibition, celebrating the forthcoming 76th anniversary of the Indian independence and 52nd anniversary of the Indo-Soviet Treaty of Peace, Friendship and Cooperation.
Mr. Maxim Aleshin, Senior Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Kolkata, Prof Binayak Bhattacharya, General Secretary of the All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation, West Bengal State Committee,, Dr Jasbir Chawla, director of the Global Buddhist Management Education and Research Centre, Dr.Tamonash Bhattacharya, General Secretary of the Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship, West Bengal State Committee graced the occasion as Guests of Honour.
Mr. Aleshin spoke in details about the importance and significance of Indo-Russian bilateral relations, highlighting the glorious chapters along with the contributions of national leaders of both the countries.
Prof Binayak Bhattacharya noted the importance and contributions of the mutually beneficial friendship for socio-economic developments and progress in the various fields of science and technology.
Dr.Tamonash Bhattacharya narrated in his speech the time tested experiences of the richness of bondage of Indo-Russian friendship in various fields of life in both the countries.

Mr. Maxim Aleshin, Senior Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Kolkata, Prof Binayak Bhattacharya, General Secretary of the All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation, West Bengal State Committee,, Dr Jasbir Chawla, director of the Global Buddhist Management Education and Research Centre, Dr.Tamonash Bhattacharya, General Secretary of the Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship, West Bengal State Committee graced the occasion as Guests of Honour.
Mr. Aleshin spoke in details about the importance and significance of Indo-Russian bilateral relations, highlighting the glorious chapters along with the contributions of national leaders of both the countries.
Prof Binayak Bhattacharya noted the importance and contributions of the mutually beneficial friendship for socio-economic developments and progress in the various fields of science and technology.
Dr.Tamonash Bhattacharya narrated in his speech the time tested experiences of the richness of bondage of Indo-Russian friendship in various fields of life in both the countries.
The commemorative exhibition of historical photographs and paintings by Indian artists was officially inaugurated. It will be open to public until 11 August, 3 to 6 p.m.

Доктор Тамонаш Бхаттачарья рассказал в своем выступлении о проверенном временем сотрудничестве России и Индии в различных сферах жизни.
Выставка исторических фотографий и картин индийских художников была официальнооткрыта. Она продолжит свою работу до 11 августа, с 15:00 до 18:00 ч.

We invite you to take part in the international exhibition of contemporary fine art “WINTER MIRACLE”!
The exhibition will be held from December 24, 2023 to January 21, 2024 in the Historical Park “Russia – My History” in Tyumen.
Works of contemporary fine art by authors from foreign countries and Russia are accepted for participation in the exhibition.
Participants are over 14 years old.
Works are accepted in three categories:
🖌painting;
🖌graphics;
🖌artistic photography.
To participate in the exhibition, the artist must send:
✅ an application with contact information, the title of the work and a brief description, as well as information about creative achievements and experience in the artistic field, experience in participation in exhibitions and competitions, if any;
✅ a photograph of one of your works. Participation in several nominations is allowed.
✅ signed consents to the processing of personal data and publication of photographs of their work on the Tyumen State University website.
Completed documents and photographs of works are sent to the email address: [email protected], in the subject line you must indicate: “Participation in the exhibition WINTER MIRACLE, 2023.” Documents for participation are accepted until DECEMBER 22, 2023.
The jury reviews the photographs until DECEMBER 24, 2023, selects from them the works that will participate in the exhibition, and notifies the artist of participation in the exhibition and the selected works.
At the end of the event, participants whose works were selected by the jury will be awarded Diplomas.

In the view of the upcoming Cosmonautics Day, Russian House in Kolkata organized an art contest "Space through the eyes of children". On April 6, young artists have been invited to express their vision of space exploration.
More than 100 artworks have been submitted for the contest. Sergey Shushin, director of the Russian House, personally awarded the participants with certificates and souvenirs.
The exhibition is open to public until the Cosmonautics Day, April 12.
