The legendary Cory Petkovsek (TokisanGames) just announced that in Terrain3D 1.1 for Godot Engine there will be a full-scale tessellation support with 7 levels of details. The release of the update is expected in a couple of months.

Godot 4.6 is finally packed with SSR, that WORKS. To explain the issue: before that, Screen Space Reflections (SSR, a crucial tech for non-RT games) were broken completely.

They were not correctly working with roughness, they were not working well with metals, they were as bad as possible. And were obstructed by any screen-shader.

Now it's fixed and they are almost perfect!

The new default theme (for UI) in Godot is easy to underestimate, but it's a banger:

With better contrast the clarity is significantly improved. And even when I'm working with vivid scenes with a huge difference in lighting, it's all clear.

The 4.6 is indeed impressive 👍
