Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signed Between IFAR and IGIC
The Institute of Fundamental and Applied Research (IFAR) at the National Research University TIIAME and the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry (IGIC) of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan have entered into a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The collaboration aims to drive forward research in physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, nanomaterials, functional crystals, and computational science.
The MoU was officially signed by Dr. Jamoliddin Razzokov, Director of IFAR, and Prof. Aziz Ibragimov, Director of IGIC. This partnership will enable researchers from both institutions to work together on cutting-edge projects that aim to better understand the molecular mechanisms of functional nanomaterials. The ultimate goal is to develop innovative products that could have significant market potential.
Key Areas of Collaboration:
1. Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs):
o Synthesis and evaluation of MOFs, focusing on their applications in gas adsorption and photocatalysis.
2. Material Processing with Non-Thermal Plasma:
o Modification of materials on the nanometer scale using non-thermal plasma techniques.
3. Carbon and Aluminum Silicate Nanotubes:
o Synthesis and analysis of nanotubes for use in various modern technologies and medical applications.
4. Protein and Ligand Interactions:
o Investigating the inhibitory functions of ligands on target proteins to combat fungi and bacteria.
Both IFAR and IGIC are committed to sharing resources, expertise, and information to achieve these objectives, with plans for regular meetings, joint publications, and presentations at scientific conferences. This collaboration aims to develop innovative solutions to modern problems that would bring benefits to both the social and scientific community.

Our next research visit takes us to Yeditepe University, nestled in the marvelous city of Istanbul. πŸŒ‰ I've had the pleasure of connecting and discussing Plasma Agriculture with Dr. Turgay Coruhlu for a long time, and now it's time to dive deeper into his innovative research. 🌱

We aim to establish a close collaboration through joint projects, and I'm happy that my student Davronjon Izzatulla Γ•ΔŸli will be joining me on this journey. πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ“ Over the next 10 days, we'll be immersed in a dense schedule of field experiments and exploring the vibrant city of Istanbul. πŸ›οΈπŸŒ

I am glad to share that I am currently on a research visit to Yeditepe University in Istanbul, Turkey. πŸŽ“
During this visit, I've met my collaborator Dr. Turgay Γ‡oruhlu who is working on the Plasma Agriculture project. 🌱✨ Dr. Γ‡oruhlu is closely monitoring the development of tea plants under direct plasma treatment of seeds and an indirect method using plasma-treated water, with impressive results so far. 🍡🌿
We also had productive discussions about applying for an upcoming joint project call between Uzbekistan and Turkey. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΏπŸ‡ΉπŸ‡·
In addition, we visited the nanotechnology lab led by Dr. Fatih Mehmet, who specializes in solar cells. β˜€οΈπŸ”‹ We explored potential collaborations that could involve other organizations in Uzbekistan.
Our visit continued with a meeting with Prof. Metin Turan, Head of the Agricultural Trade and Management Department. Prof. Turan is working on advanced seed treatment technology, which has been tested and certified. πŸŒΎβœ”οΈ His extensive experience in research, management, and trading is truly inspiring, and we agreed on establishing close cooperation.
