The meeting was attended by invited guests: Alexander KHANAROV, Anastasia MARTEMIANOVA and Alsu VALIEVA. The purpose of the debate was to discuss the possibility and necessity of institutionalization of BRICS from the point of view of the member states and international organizations.
The participants were divided into 9 teams, 5 of which represented the BRICS countries, and the remaining 4 different international organizations. During the debate, the participants represented the interests of one of the parties and argued different points of view on this issue. Participants could also ask each other questions.
At the end of the meeting, the experts shared their impressions of the debates, and Anastasia MARTEMIANOVA summed up their results. She also talked about the mistakes made by the participants and how they should be avoided.

🌐 В ряд мероприятий вошли дискуссии, дебаты, круглый стол и рабочие сессии, которые посетили более 500 человек из более 13 стран мира - России, Бразилии, Индии, Китая, ЮАР, а также Республики Абхазия, Вьетнама, Гватемалы, Марокко, Сербии, Пакистана, Финляндии, Шри-Ланки и др.

🌐 В ряд мероприятий вошли дискуссии, дебаты, круглый стол и рабочие сессии, которые посетили более 500 человек из более 13 стран мира - России, Бразилии, Индии, Китая, ЮАР, а также Республики Абхазия, Вьетнама, Гватемалы, Марокко, Сербии, Пакистана, Финляндии, Шри-Ланки и др.

HSE University hosts the first meeting of Russian NGO representatives as part of BRICS and G20 Civil Track
More than 50 representatives of civil society organizations discussed calendar for 2024 and thematic areas of Working groups of the #BRICS Civil Forum. The Forum is scheduled to be held in Moscow in July 2024. The BRICS civil track in Russia is coordinated by the BRICS Expert Council – Russia, based in HSE University.
BRICS Civil Forum, initiated in 2015 by Russia, aims at fostering constructive dialogue between Civil Society Organizations and academia in BRICS countries on a wide range of socio-economic issues. Russian and foreign representatives of civil society will host a series of expert discussions and round tables towards BRICS Civil Forum.
