Grand Theft Auto 5's planned story DLC was cancelled because GTA Online was making so much money, its cinematics editor claims

Former Rockstar developer Joseph Rubino revealed in an interview that a planned single-player DLC for #GTA 5, centered around Trevor, was canceled due to the success of GTA Online. The DLC, which involved Trevor as an undercover agent, was about halfway completed before it was shelved. Rubino mentioned that much of the developed content was likely repurposed for GTA Online. The decision to cancel the DLC was driven by the significant revenue and popularity of GTA Online, making it difficult to justify standalone DLC.
