⚡️ On 2 September, Valery Pikalev, Head of the Russian Federal Customs Service met with Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs of India.

⚡️ This is the fifth meeting at the level of heads of departments for the last two years. Valery Pikalev and Sanjay K. Agarwal stressed the special importance of the need to implement the agreement on mutual recognition of Authorised Economic Operators signed in May 2024 in New Delhi, which provides for maximum simplification of customs formalities for companies registered in the Authorised Economic Operator programmes of the customs services of Russia and India.

⚡️ The parties agreed to keep up the momentum and maintain regular contacts at the level of heads of agencies.
