⚡️ On 2 September, Valery Pikalev, Head of the Russian Federal Customs Service met with Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs of India.

⚡️ This is the fifth meeting at the level of heads of departments for the last two years. Valery Pikalev and Sanjay K. Agarwal stressed the special importance of the need to implement the agreement on mutual recognition of Authorised Economic Operators signed in May 2024 in New Delhi, which provides for maximum simplification of customs formalities for companies registered in the Authorised Economic Operator programmes of the customs services of Russia and India.

⚡️ The parties agreed to keep up the momentum and maintain regular contacts at the level of heads of agencies.

⚡️ Evgeny Griva, Deputy Trade Representative of Russia in India, took part in the international energy exhibition POWERGEN India & Indian Utility Week in New Delhi on September 4-6.

🇷🇺🤝🇮🇳 At the plenary session devoted to LNG supplies to the Indian market the prospects for long-term cooperation between Russia and India in this area were discussed.
