📆 On September 28, Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India Yulia Aryaeva took part in the International Literary Festival “Translations of Vasily Shukshin’s Works in the Languages ​​of the World” organized in an online format by the Russian State University for the Humanities jointly with the Jawaharlal Nehru University.

👥 The event dedicated to the 95th birth anniversary of Vasily Shukshin (1929-1974), brought together students and teachers from Russian and Indian educational institutions, universities of the CIS countries.

📹 The programme included reading stories by the outstanding Russian writer in different languages ​​of the world as well as a discussion of the prospects for translating Shukshin’s films into Indian languages.

📚 On 19 October, a new season of the Delhi reading club "Brunch with a Book" at the Atlas Social and Cultural Centre started.

📝 During the meeting dedicated to Mikhail Sholokhov's novel "And Quiet Flows the Don", Member of Russian Parliament — the State Duma and writer's grandson Alexander Sholokhov told the audience about little-known pages of the biography of the outstanding writer, shared his personal memories.

📼 Scientific secretary of the State Museum-Reserve of Mikhail Sholokhov Lydia Slyusarenko presented the history of the museum, told about the Sholokhov’s family and the contribution of each member to the preservation of the Nobel laureate's heritage and Cossack culture in general.

👥 The participants of the reading club — Russian compatriots, diplomats, students of the Embassy School — discussed the complicated history of the Don Cossacks, masterfully described in the epic novel, as well as the film adaptations based on it.

📖🔖The evening was marked by the exciting launch of Kutti Revathi's latest poetry collection, a true milestone in Tamil literature. Poems were recited in Tamil, English, and Russian, each language adding a unique layer of beauty to the evening.

🎭Renowned theater artist Kalairani captivated us all, bringing these words to life with her extraordinary performance.

It was, indeed, a heartfelt tribute to Women’s Art!

📖 On February 24, the Bharati College, Delhi University, hosted a opening of the international scientific conference "The Concept of Motherland in Hindi & Russian Literature".

🇷🇺🇮🇳 The event brought together Russian and Indian researchers to discuss the cultural, emotional and philosophical connections that shape the understanding of the Motherland in various literary landscapes.

👥 The Russian delegation led by Director of the Gorky Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences Dr Vadim Polonsky included representatives of the State Museum of Oriental Art, the Roerich Museum, the Yasnaya Polyana Museum-Estate, the Paustovsky Museum, the Institute of Russian Literature (the Pushkin House) of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Leo Tolstoy Museum (Kazan).

💬 In her welcoming address to the conference, Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India Yulia Aryaeva underscored the importance of a cross-cultural approach in studying national identity and patriotism in a rapidly changing world.

🖼 An art exhibition prepared by the Roerich Museum with the support of the Embassy in New Delhi was opened on the sidelines of the forum. The inauguration ceremony ended with a joint concert.
