🇷🇺🇮🇳 On February 1, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov addressed the opening ceremony of the New Delhi World Book Fair, at which Russia is the Focus Country in 2025.

☝🏻 He underscored that it was a great honour for Russia to participate in the exhibition in such a role, as well as pointed out that the event would be a brilliant opportunity to explore new areas of Russian-Indian literary cooperation.

👥 President of India Droupadi Murmu officially inaugurated the fair. The ceremony was attended by Vineet Joshi, Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education of India, Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education of India, Prof Milind Sudhakar Marathe, Chairman of the National Book Trust of India (NBT), Yuvraj Malik, Director of the NBT, and Alexei Varlamov, prominent writer, Head of the Russian delegation.

📚 During the event, Droupadi Murmu, accompanied by Denis Alipov, visited the Russian stand, noting that Russia's high representation at the book exhibition will contribute to strengthening cultural ties between the two countries.

🇷🇺 📚 🇮🇳 On February 2, the 12th edition of the CEO Speak forum was held on the sidelines of the New Delhi World Book Fair 2025 that united the directors of publishing houses and book fairs from Russia, India, the UAE and other countries.

👥 The gathering was addressed by B.V.R.Subramanyam, CEO, NITI Ayog, Prof Milind Sudhakar Marathe, Chairman, National Book Trust of India, and Yuvraj Malik, Director, NBT.

💬 The reports highlighting Russian publishing industry were presented by Evgeny Kapiev, CEO, Eksmo Publishing House and Tatiana Solovyeva, Editor-in-Chief, Alpina.Proza Publishing House.

☝🏻 A report on the Moscow International Book Fair was delivered by Sergei Kaykin, CEO, General Directorate of International Book Exhibitions and Fairs.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 On February 6, the Russian House in New Delhi hosted a solemn reception of the Russian Embassy in India dedicated to the New Delhi World Book Fair 2025 held on February 1-9.

🟣 This year Russia is participating in the event as the Focus Country.

👥 The reception was attended by representatives of the National Book Trust of India — the organizer of the fair, leading Indian and Russian publishing houses, cultural and academic circles, the diplomatic corps and the media, as well as public figures and compatriots.

💬 Spouse of the Russian Ambassador to India Diana Alipova and Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in India Elena Remizova delivered welcoming addresses.

🎵 A bright highlight of the evening was the concert of the folk choreographic ensemble "Echo of the Mountains" from Khasavyurt, Dagestan, who demonstrated colorful and fiery dances of the peoples of the Republic.

🎶 On February 8, as part of the New Delhi World Book Fair 2025, the amphitheater of Bharat Mandapam hosted a vibrant concert that gathered over a thousand enthusiastic spectators.

🇷🇺🇮🇳 The event featured an exciting fusion of Russian and Indian traditions through dance, song, and music, showcasing the deep cultural ties between the two nations.

🎻 The performance highlighted the talent of the Moscow-based musical duo Bohemia, consisting of Evgeny Soprunov on the balalaika and Kristina Kochmarik on the violin. They were joined by the students from the Jawaharlal Nehru University studying the Russian language.

🎉 Their energetic and lively musical performances captivated the audience, sparking an undeniable sense of joy and excitement.
