🇷🇺 📚 🇮🇳 On February 4, India's Sahitya Akademi hosted a round table on translation with the participation of diplomats of the Russian Embassy in India.
🟣 The meeting of Russian and Indian authors and interpreters took place on the sidelines of the New Delhi World Book Fair 2025.
👥 Among the participants of the round table were prominent literary critic and Director of the State Literary Museum Dmitry Bak, Chairman of the Association of Unions of Writers and Publishers of Russia and Member of the State Duma Sergey Shargunov, popular writer Anna Shipilova and members of the Russian delegation at the fair.
💬 The need to strengthen the work on translating contemporary authors was noted, current problems facing interpreters of literary texts were discussed, plans were outlined for the implementation of joint creative initiatives — from publishing a special "Indian" edition of the "Yunost" magazine to establishing a prize for translators of the two countries.
