HTS/SNA/ISIS attacked a checkpoint in Sheikh Afwakal village in Kobane under the name of tribes; clashes occurred in the area.
Internal Security Forces are repelling attack.

The first group, consisting of 400 families from Afrin, will depart on Monday, March 9, 2026.

@MehmudXelilEli: Following our field visit to Afrin and our meetings with the presidential delegation, we announce the commencement of procedures for the return of our displaced people to their homes. Our direct meetings with the residents of Afrin and listening to their aspirations were the primary impetus for expediting these steps and overcoming obstacles. We confirm that Monday, March 9, 2026, will be the departure date for the first group, comprising 400 families. The gathering point will be at the Panorama roundabout in Hasakah city at 10:00 AM. This step is a fundamental pillar for the security and stability of Syria. Through it, we affirm that the era of displacement must end with the dignified and safe return of the people of the land to their homes. Our efforts will continue until the last displaced person returns home.

A number of drones has been intercepted in the sky over Hawler (Erbil) in the Autonomous region of Kurdistan.

This pattern has been noticeable throughout the last 3 days - starting with either Hawler/KRG or Baghdad/Iraq - a series of strikes is being conducted within a timespan of 1-2 hours; striking both the KRG and Iraq in a coordinated manner - starting with either one.

Since the events of 2017, we have studied the network of the PMF extensively and know how they operate.
The PMF conducts meetings in their operation rooms to determine the targets for the day - then the commanders act autonomously, choosing predesignated units to deploy the equipment into predesignated fields/areas - from there on, the units launch the strikes autonomously.

The emphasis here is autonomous - or rather decentralised. PMF units receive orders from a central command but the actual unit that conducts the operation is *not* part of the chain of command nor really attached to it.
This is what makes the PMF both effective and dangerous.
