🇷🇺🇸🇦📞 President Vladimir Putin spoke over the phone with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, with the Saudi side initiating the conversation.
The Parties discussed several key topics on the bilateral agenda, with an emphasis on further expanding mutually beneficial ties in trade, economic cooperation, investment and energy. They expressed satisfaction with the level of coordination at OPEC Plus aimed at ensuring the global oil market stability. Prospects for cooperation between Saudi Arabia and #BRICS were also considered.
The two Leaders exchanged views on various aspects of the developments in the Middle East in the context of the efforts Russia and Saudi Arabia are participating in to resolve regional crises.
Vladimir Putin wished all the best to the Saudi leaders and people on Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
🤝 The conversation was friendly, constructive and substantive. With this in mind, the Parties agreed to build up contacts in specific areas of cooperation.

🇷🇺🇸🇦📞 President of Russia Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
In the wake of the June 24 events in Russia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud expressed his support of the measures taken by the Russian leadership to protect the constitutional order, lives and security of people.
During the conversation, some issues of further development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation were also touched upon.
Vladimir Putin asked the Crown Prince to convey his greetings on Eid al-Adha to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the entire Saudi nation.

The Crown Prince thanked the Russian Side for consistently supporting Saudi Arabia’s request to join #BRICS. In turn, the President of Russia warmly congratulated the leadership of Saudi Arabia on the relevant decision, made at the BRICS Summit in Johannesburg, and informed the Crown Prince about the priorities of Russia’s BRICS chairmanship in 2024.
🤝 The Parties praised bilateral collaboration within the OPEC Plus format and noted that specific agreements on reducing oil production, combined with voluntary obligations to limit raw materials deliveries, made it possible to stabilise the global energy market.
The leaders expressed satisfaction with the development of diverse cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia and reviewed a number of topical issues related to further deepening cooperation in trade, the economy, transport, logistics and investment.
They agreed to continue their personal contacts.

🤝 The Parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening foreign policy coordination between Moscow and Riyadh at various international platforms.
The Ministers noted the stabilising effect that cooperation between Russia and Saudi Arabia in this strategically important area has had on the global hydrocarbons market.
