🎖 On May 5, the "Nuremberg" movie received its North American premiere at the Russian Embassy in the United States. The event was attended by heads of diplomatic missions of a number of the CIS states, Latin America, Asia, Middle East and Africa. Compatriots, journalists, representatives of some American NGO’s also responded to our invitation.

🖼 Photo exhibitions “The Nuremberg Trials. A View from Moscow” (provided by the Alexander Pechersky Memorial Foundation) and "Liberation" (a joint project of International media group “Rossiya Segodnya” and the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives) were demonstrated.

🎞 The 🇷🇺 film struck a deep emotional chord with the guests. Colleagues thanked us for the opportunity to touch the history of the Second World War, especially on the eve of the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

📆The guests noted that they learned a lot of new facts about the Nuremberg trials and the terrifying crimes of the Nazis. They admitted that the movie had allowed them to plunge into the atmosphere of those days and dwell on good and evil, heroism and betrayal. They emphasized the importance of preserving the memory of the millions of people who sacrificed their lives for the victory over Nazism.

🎖“Nuremberg Trials: The view from Moscow” exhibition is on display at the Russian Embassy

On May 5, the "Nuremberg" movie received its North American premiere at the Russian Embassy in the United States. “Nuremberg Trials: The view from Moscow” exhibition (provided by the Alexander Pechersky Memorial Foundation) was also demonstrated to our guests.

☝️The display proves to be very helpful in giving a deeper insight into that historic event when the most notorious Nazi criminals were put on trial and senior government officials of the Third Reich were sentenced to death. The exhibition inter alia focuses on the decisive role of the USSR in Nuremberg Trials: the Soviet Union suggested and insisted on setting up an international tribunal.

The exhibition, containing photographs, archival documents, captivating stories of the participants, gives an impartial account of the main stages of Nuremberg Trials, from the moment the very idea of setting up an international tribunal crystallized to the execution of the top Nazi officials.

🇷🇺🇺🇸 Ambassador Anatoly Antonov's statement

The upsurge of Russophobia in the United States
on the eve of Great Victory Day celebrations catches the eye. The U.S. authorities not only do not prevent the erasure of anything related to Russia, but they themselves are trying to stir up hysteria in every possible way.

☝️ There are brazen attempts to falsify the facts of World War II. The decisive contribution of the Red Army to the defeat of fascism is ignored. And the Soviet Union is excluded from the number of winners. At the same time, the role of the United States and Great Britain is undeservedly advertised.

The No. 1 guest at all of events here is the Ukrainian ambassador from the Zelensky regime. A regime that cultivates the Banderites. This disgrace is a mockery of history and common sense.

👉 It is striking that the local press ignores Victory Day. Apparently, it is inconvenient to mark the date and not mention the selfless feat of the Red Army.

‼️ Tonight Russophobes desecrated an Orthodox chapel in the Russian section of the cemetery in Washington. Driven by the anti-Russian hatred, perpetrators encroached on the sacred. The church was ransacked. Doors and windows were broken, icons defaced, and murals painted over. Many resting places of Russian believers were vandalized.

We urge the American authorities to come to their senses and stop indulging the Nazis for opportunistic reasons. We must be honest before the fallen heroes. Stop distorting history. Encouraging neo-Nazism and Russophobia is unacceptable.

For the second year in a row, the efforts of the U.S. administration disrupted the trip of American participants in World War II to the Victory Parade. Unprecedented pressure was put on the veterans. They were even intimidated by the revocation of their passports, so that they could not fly to Russia and take part in the celebration of the 78th anniversary of the Great Victory. American veterans had waited so long to go to Moscow. They hoped to see the Red Square and embrace their brothers in arms. They realize that next year this will be even harder to do. The U.S. authorities essentially did not let the dream of the veterans from coming true, prevented another embrace of the veterans, now in the center of Moscow.

🤝 This move is insulting not only to the veterans who fought against Nazism, but to all those who remember the sacred feat. We want American veterans to know that Russia is proud of their contribution to the common victory. Hostile U.S. policy will not undermine the spirit of World War II fighting camaraderie. We consider it our duty to defend the truth about the heroes.

🇷🇺🇷🇸 On the occasion of the recent 80th anniversary of liberation of Belgrade from Nazi invaders on November 14, Russian Embassy in the U.S. screened a feature film «Certified: no mines» (the original title is «Provereno nema mina»).

Our colleagues from diplomatic missions of the Republic of Serbia and the CIS countries, Russian representatives in Bretton Woods Institutions, compatriots and journalists attended the event.

Before the film to the Soviet songs of wartime our guests acquainted themselves with an exhibition devoted to the Belgrade Offensive and the main stages of liberation of Europe from the brown plague by the Red Army.

🏅 The memory of the heroic feat of the Soviet and Yugoslavian armies that expelled the Nazi occupiers from Yugoslavia will stay in our hearts forever.

Nobody has been forgotten. Nothing has been forgotten.
