Two Republic of Korea MUH-1 Marineon helicopters departed the ROKS Marado sitting offshore. They roared into Bowen, delivering an amphibious air assault force that cleared an enemy position, as part of Talisman Sabre 2025.

The Bowen assaults formed just one part of a broader coalition mission, setting the stage for the next phase of the operation.

The assault was one of four objective sites in the Bowen area – the forces continued to move on to participate in Joint Forcible Entry Operations in Shoalwater Bay.

Four of the Australian Army’s new M1A2 SEPv3 Abrams main battle tanks and a MA88 Recovery Vehicle were craned into the tight confines of a United States landing craft USAV Paulus Hook, a global first for interoperability.

The USAV Paulus Hook travelled close to its maximum weight of 350 tonnes as it moved 800 kms down the Queensland coast between 📌 Townsville and Gladstone ports.

As Exercise @TalismanSabre 2025 built strategic bridges between military personnel from 19 nations, soldiers from the 6th Engineer Support Regiment (6ESR) constructed physical ones to support critical logistics movements.

The Sappers constructed a Fixed Modular Bridge (FMB) to provide passage to otherwise inaccessible areas of the Townsville Field Training Area, vital for enabling the flow of personnel and equipment.

With the bridge complete, 6ESR soldiers then established a Water Purification System, providing essential drinking water for the core units moving across the site.
