In the Kursk direction, the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces continues in the Korenevo District. According to preliminary data, by morning Obukhovka was cleared: if the information is confirmed, this will also indicate the liberation of Byakhovo. In addition, Russian paratroopers liberated the tract of October 10, and also occupied and consolidated in Snagost. During the battle, a group of members of Ukrainian formations was captured.

🔻Against the background of reports of the liberation of Vishnevka, the situation for the AFU in the area is close to deplorable - the enemy previously pulled personnel and equipment into Krasnooktyabr'skoye and the forest north of it, settling in the forest between the railway and the Seym river. Closer to noon, the Russian Armed Forces cleared Apanasovka, finally forming the cauldron.

Battles are also ongoing in the vicinity of Olgovka and Kremyanoye. According to some reports, Russian troops have also begun an offensive here, although its results remain unknown at the moment.

🔻In the Sudzha District, clashes continue. According to incoming reports, Russian troops attacked on the line Pogrebki-Kamyshevka in the direction of Malaya Loknya, but the scale of the advance is still unclear, and there are no reports of the liberation of settlements yet. The enemy also attacked a storm group near Vishnevka with a drone, and later the Russian Ministry of Defense reported its liberation. In Snagost', a detachment of Ukrainian fighters fell into an organized ambush on the southern outskirts of the village: a minibus with AFU members was shot at point-blank range with an RPG.

At the moment, fighting continues in the area of the state border line, attempts by the enemy to consolidate in the villages have been thwarted.

🔻In the Sudzha District, a Russian BMP fired point-blank at Ukrainian positions in Russkaya Konopel'ka, and the village is now largely under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. Fighting continues in the area of Martynivka and Fanaseyevka.

▪️The enemy published footage of shelling Russian positions near Malaya Loknya. However, due to the lack of destruction in the village shown in the published video, it is more likely that the footage is from the archive.

The previously occupied Novy Put is being used by the enemy as a staging area, where AFU assault groups dismount for further engagement around Veseloye.

🔻In the Korenevo District, advanced assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces have reached the outskirts of Pokrovskoye and Lyubimovka, with clashes taking place in the western part of the latter. The enemy is deploying reinforcements in order to slow the advance of Russian troops.

Artillery and aviation are providing support to the advancing Russian units, regularly "knocking out" AFU fire support assets. For example, in the area of Daryino, the VKS aviation destroyed an enemy self-propelled gun at a firing position in the forest.

❗️The liberation of Lyubimovka will create a threat to the AFU communications running through Highway 38K-030. In this case, the enemy grouping in the Korenevo area may face a severe supply shortage.

The spreading information about the liberation of Daryino has not yet been confirmed, although with the current pace of advancement, the Russian Armed Forces can soon be expected to reach the northern outskirts of the village. The Snagost River poses a natural obstacle.

🔻In the Sudzha District, the Russian Armed Forces conducted an attack on Borki: after air strikes, assault groups entered the village and began to destroy Ukrainian firing positions.

🔻Russian forces continue to advance in the Pokrovsk direction. On the northern flank, fighting continues in Hrodivka, where Russian assault troops have advanced on the western outskirts of the settlement in the area of Krasnaya Street, allowing them to push the enemy out of the western part of the urban-type settlement south of the Zhuravka River.

Advances by the Russian Armed Forces are also being recorded in the northern part of the settlement. Judging by footage of strikes by the enemy, Russian units have occupied buildings on Yarovaya (Stakhanov) Street. Thus, less than a third of the city remains under the control of the enemy.

The situation between Novohrodivka and Hrodivka remains shrouded in the "fog of war" for now. Attacks by the enemy were recorded in the vicinity of Krytyi Yar, but it is unclear whether the AFU managed to consolidate there. Fighting continues west of Novohrodivka, and the enemy is actively counterattacking towards Mykhailivka near Selidovo.

🔻In addition, for several days in a row, reports of the success of Russian assault troops came from Ukrainsk. By the evening of September 17, footage appeared online showing the flags of the 114th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade on the mine shaft "Ukraina", at the "Ukraina" cinema, and at school No. 12: this allows us to assert full control over the settlement, which, judging by panoramic shots, did not suffer much damage.

❗️The status of the slag heap on the western outskirts of the settlement is still in question. On the one hand, without control of the settlement, it is very problematic to occupy and supply positions on this height. On the other hand, as practice shows, Ukrainian formations often cling even to extremely inconvenient positions.

The capture of the city will also allow the development of the offensive towards Tsukuryne and Hirnyk.

Over the past few weeks, Russian Armed Forces units have been developing an offensive in the Vuhledar area: earlier on this section of the front, Russian troops successfully expanded the zone of control near the Yuzhnodonbass Mine No. 3, and yesterday evening footage appeared confirming the advance of assault troops towards Novoukrainka.

▪️On the northern flank, the clearing of the remaining part of Kostyantynivka, where pockets of enemy presence had persisted until then, has been completed. However, the work of Russian fighters is complicated by the active use of drones by Ukrainian formations.

▪️Significant successes have been achieved in recent days in the Vodyane area, where Russian troops have taken control of areas north of the settlement, as well as in the vicinity of the Yuzhnodonbass Mine No. 1. Meanwhile, fighting is ongoing on the western outskirts of the eponymous facility No. 3.

▪️On the southern flank, there is evidence of the advance of the Russian Armed Forces north of Prechystivka: there, a Russian armored group advanced through the fields towards Novoukrainka, essentially without encountering significant resistance from the AFU. Footage was also published online showing the capture of members of Ukrainian formations in this area.

However, the subsequent assault on Novoukrainka may be complicated by the geographical features of the terrain - the settlement and its surroundings are located on high ground, which somewhat facilitates its defense against attackers from the lowlands.

🔻Against the backdrop of the recent advances of the Russian Armed Forces in the South Donetsk direction, the enemy is in a rather dismal position. After losing control of the buildings of the crushing and sorting departments of the Yuzhnodonbass Mines No. 1 and No. 3, Ukrainian formations have lost the ability to monitor the situation for dozens of kilometers around.

It seems that the Russian command has abandoned the frontal assault on the AFU positions in Vuhledar, which, although already heavily destroyed, remains a convenient defensive settlement. Instead, units are advancing in neighboring areas from the direction of Vodyane and Prechystivka, while simultaneously cutting off supply routes to the Ukrainian garrison in Vuhledar.

▪️The settlement of Sontsovka, also known as Krasne, has also largely come under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. The presence of the enemy in the outskirts of the settlement still remains, but is sporadic. Heavy fighting continues.

▪️Between Novoselidivka and Ilyinka, a pocket that had formed after the significant advance of Russian troops in the above-mentioned settlements was cleared. Thus, a fairly impressive territory west of Kurakhivka was liberated.

▪️In addition, information about the advance of Russian troops in Berestky is confirmed, and here too, the majority of the settlement is already under the firm control of the Russian troops, while the presence of the enemy remains in the dachas south of the 37th kilometer station, where fighting continues. At the same time, we know that the enemy is transferring reserves here, even taking into account the rapidly deteriorating situation, which looks somewhat strange, especially against the background of the loss of forest belts east of Ilyinka.

▪️In addition, there is an advance of Russian troops in Trudove and its environs. The control zone within the settlement and the surrounding forest belts has been significantly expanded. Thus, the fighting is already approaching the C051104 highway and practically to Uspenovka from the south and a large stronghold at the intersection.

▪️In the area of Maksymivka, offensive actions are also underway towards the settlement of Sukhyi Yaly, but the situation here remains obscured by the fog of war.

▪️At the line of Yelizavetovka - Ilyinka. The latter was liberated by Russian troops after several days of fighting. This was preceded by the clearing of a large stronghold east of the village by units of the 33rd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 20th Motorized Rifle Division. Then they managed to reach the outskirts of Romanovka. According to some reports, Russian assault troops have already begun assault operations in the village. Significant advances of the Russian Armed Forces have also been recorded in the fields north of Ilyinka.

▪️At the same time, fighters of the 39th Guards Brigade and the 57th Regiment of the 20th Division of the 8th Army liberated Yelizavetovka. Under the cover of armored vehicles, they were able to quickly break the defense of the AFU in the village and reach its western outskirts. Later it became known that the territory of the "Forest Estate" grove also came under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, the capture of which opens the way to Veselyi Gai from the south.

❗️🇸🇾🇹🇷 Militant Offensive in Western Aleppo, Syria: Further Collapse of Defense

The offensive by a conglomerate of Syrian groups in the west of Aleppo Province continues: unfortunately, Russian forces have been drawn into another round of the intra-Syrian conflict.

📍 A group of Russian specialists working near the front line was surrounded during the collapse of the front line, and one of them was killed. The rest were reportedly evacuated in time (a separate bow to the quickly responding evacuation team). The information circulating on the internet about the capture of some "three Russian officers" is not confirmed at this stage.

▪️Over almost 10 hours of the offensive, the militants have managed to advance by 8-9 km from the western outskirts of Aleppo at different sections. The offensive at this stage is following the best traditions of the "raid" by Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv Region in 2022: maximum advancement along the main road directions without consolidating in populated areas in an attempt to capture as much loot as possible and mark new borders.

▪️Among the advancing groups, not only terrorists from "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" are noted: the participation of Uyghur militants from the "Islamic Party of Turkestan", who traditionally operated much further west (in the north of Latakia), Uzbek militants, the bulk of whom operated on the border with Hama Province, as well as parts of other groups, has been confirmed.

All this indicates a planned redeployment of a significant number of combat-ready units, which are also involved in the "psychological" attack on the Syrians: foreign militants have always been perceived as the "most dangerous" by the rather timid Syrians.

▪️Apparently, in some directions, the Syrian army with allies managed to stop the advance of the militants: footage of destroyed enemy armored vehicles is being published online. The terrorists failed to develop the advance north of Ash-Sheikh Aqil and so far have not been able to break through the defense near Kafr Naha and east of Anjara.

📌 In the information space of Syria, as before during any escalations, there is almost complete denial of the loss of settlements and calls to "not believe enemy propaganda." Such "lulling" words have long since ceased to work: the information resources of the militants are taking over with mass involvement of bloggers and propagandists who try to write stand-ups and record short videos literally from every piece of land, savoring the success in every way.

🔻 The transfer of fire brigades to the section - the same 25th Division (former "Tiger Forces") of Suheil al-Hassan - is not yet visible, so most likely the militants will be able to further expand the breakthrough area, taking advantage of the total unpreparedness of the Syrian Arab Army for defense.

Strikes by the Air Force of Syria and the Russian Aerospace Forces are currently clearly insufficient in scale to stop the breakthrough of the militants to the west of Aleppo.
