๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฌ Britain's Sunak meets Palestinian and Egyptian leaders in Cairo

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak met the leaders of Egypt and the Palestinian Authority in Cairo on Friday, agreeing with them on the need to let humanitarian aid into Gaza and avoid civilian casualties in Israel's war with Hamas.

Sunak met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas as part of a diplomatic tour of the Middle East.

During the talks Sunak stressed the imperative of avoiding a wider regional conflict and preventing any further unnecessary loss of civilian life, his office said.

"We've also made good progress on tangible areas like ensuring access for humanitarian aid to those who need it," Sunak told.

"Sisi and I had a good discussion about how the UK can provide practical assistance on the ground to ensure the sustainability of that aid through the crossing."

๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ Turkey sends two more planes of aid to Egypt for Gaza, plans more

Turkey sent two cargo planes to Egypt on Monday carrying medical equipment and supplies for Gaza, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said, adding two more aircraft would be sent with more supplies.

Koca said the cargo planes carried medicine, generators, medical supplies, incubators for babies, phototherapy machinery, diapers and baby food.

Earlier this month, Turkey sent three aircraft carrying aid for Gaza. On Sunday, it also sent a medical team and supplies to Egypt, saying Ankara was ready to treat wounded Palestinians in Turkey, if needed, and to set up a field hospital at Egypt's El Arish Airport and Rafah border crossing.

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐ŸŒ Which regions are affected by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict?

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict that started a month ago has undoubtedly had an impact on other regions in the Greater Middle East. These regions house pro-Iranian groups and Western targets.

In our infographics, we have included all documented cases of attacks, shelling, statements, and other actions that have taken place in the target countries. Among these countries, Syria stands out due to its geographical location. It is the only country where retaliatory strikes have been launched against the positions of pro-Iranian groups. We are not considering Lebanon in this context, as local groups directly participate in the conflict.

โ—๏ธHowever, upon closer examination, it becomes apparent that the actions of pro-Iranian groups have failed to cause any significant damage and are primarily aimed at achieving PR goals.

Moreover, the only tangible outcome of these actions has been the reinforcement of US Armed Forces in the Middle East region and an increased burden on the US military-industrial complex with new orders.

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Rafah crossing re-opens for limited evacuations from Gaza

Dozens of foreign passport holders and some medical evacuees passed through the Rafah crossing from Gaza into Egypt on Monday after evacuations resumed following a two-day suspension.

The Gaza border authority had said earlier that Egyptians and foreign citizens already on pre-approved lists issued since last Wednesday would be allowed through the crossing, the only exit from Gaza that does not border Israel.

Passage of foreign nationals and dependents, as well as injured Gazans, had ceased on Saturday after an Israeli strike on an ambulance in Gaza.

The flow of aid trucks, which enter Gaza through the crossing, had slowed to 25 trucks on Sunday from a high of 102 trucks on Thursday.

After evacuations resumed on Monday about 80 dual nationals and 17 medical evacuees had left through Rafah, with 48 aid trucks crossing in the other direction.

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ Egypt denies allegations of participating in any process involving displacement of Gazans into Sinai

Egypt categorically denied allegations of participating in any process involving the displacement of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip into the Sinai Peninsula, the country's State Information Service (SIS) said.

Sources told Reuters that Egypt, as a precautionary measure, is preparing an area at the Gaza border which could accommodate Palestinians in case an Israeli offensive into Rafah prompts an exodus across the frontier.

"Egypt's decisive stance since the beginning of the aggression is to completely reject any forced or voluntary displacement of Palestinian brothers from the Gaza Strip to outside it, especially to Egyptian territory," Diaa Rashwan, the SIS head, said.

He said such scenario would entail "a definite liquidation of the Palestinian cause and a direct threat to Egyptian sovereignty and national security."

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ด๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ธ Today, the Egyptian Air Force, with assistance from Jordan, conducted another humanitarian aid drop. While in the past the supplies were destined for residents of the central and southern parts of the Gaza Strip, this time they landed in the north of the enclave.

Compared to the previous airdrop of aid into the Mediterranean, today's drop was closer to the eastern border. Nevertheless, some of the cargo was again carried by the wind into Israeli border territory.

Airdrops currently serve as an effective method for delivering humanitarian aid to the enclave, given the extreme difficulty of travel through border checkpoints. This is especially crucial amidst a rise in deaths from hunger and exhaustion in the Gaza Strip, a situation that the local Ministry of Health representatives have been reporting for the second consecutive day.

โšก๏ธ โญ•๏ธ Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor:

๐Ÿ“Œ The #Gaza Strip records daily deaths of patients and wounded as a result of the blockade and #Israel's prevention of the entry of medical supplies and medicines and its destruction of the health sector.

๐Ÿ“Œ Deprivation of necessary treatment, food and other materials essential for survival is a slow death for those who were not directly killed by #Israeli military attacks.

๐Ÿ“Œ We receive dozens of complaints daily from #Palestinians who need to travel or travel for their relatives to receive life-saving treatment outside the #Gaza Strip, in light of the majority of hospitals being out of service due to the blockade and #Israeli targeting.

๐Ÿ“Œ The health crisis has been seriously worsening since #Israel closed the #Rafah land crossing with #Egypt last May, which prevented thousands of wounded and sick people from traveling to receive treatment and led to the death of hundreds of them so far.

โ–ซ๏ธ Data from the #Palestinian Ministry of Health in #Gaza indicate that there are more than 12,000 wounded and 14,000 patients in need of urgent external transfer to save lives.

๐Ÿ“ŒThese are part of the tens of thousands who are in dire need of travel to complete treatment or receive essential health and rehabilitation services that are not available in the #Gaza Strip.

๐Ÿ“ŒDeaths due to the lack of medicines or treatment or the lack of adequate health care are in the dozens daily and they are not officially counted among the victims of the ongoing #Israeli military attacks.

๐Ÿ“ŒThe data indicates a significant increase in the death rate in the #Gaza Strip during the past months compared to the same period in the previous two years, and this is related to hospitals being out of service and the collapse of the health system as a result of systematic #Israeli targeting.

๐Ÿ“ŒWe warn that thousands of cancer patients are facing severe suffering and are threatened with death due to the lack of treatment and their need to be transferred to travel to receive chemotherapy doses.

๐Ÿ“ŒThe ongoing siege and closure of crossings after the #Israeli destruction of hospitals and health facilities in #Gaza and putting most of them out of service means an #Israeli decision to carry out a mass execution of patients and the injured and deliberately kill them.

๐Ÿ“ŒIsrael is committing full-fledged war crimes against hospitals and protected persons, including the wounded and sick in #Gaza, without respecting the rules of international law.

๐Ÿ“ŒUrgent action is required to lift the siege on #Gaza, bring in medical supplies to save the lives of sick and wounded civilians, guarantee the right to travel for treatment for patients, bring in the necessary supplies to rebuild the health system immediately, and ensure its protection from #Israeli targeting.

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฌ Egypt will bid for 2036 and 2040 Olympics, African Olympic committees chief says

Egypt will bid to host the 2036 and 2040 Summer Olympics, with the country's improving infrastructure and sports facilities key for a successful African bid, said the head of the African national Olympic committees association (ANOCA) on Sunday.

The continent has never staged an Olympic Games. Cairo last made an unsuccessful bid for the 2008 Olympics.

The most populous country in the Arab world, Egypt has spent billions of dollars building facilities, stadiums and sports complexes in recent years as part of its plans to modernise the country.

The Egypt International Olympic City complex in the new administrative capital the country has been building east of Cairo since 2015 is expected to have a 93,900-capacity national stadium and 21 other sports facilities.

โšก๏ธ #Urgent #Hamas: #Hamas dealt with all responsibility with the efforts of the mediator brothers in Qatar and #Egypt and with all proposals aimed at reaching an agreement to stop the aggression against our people and conclude a prisoner exchange deal, in order to spare the blood of our people, and to put an end to the war of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and brutal massacres committed by the government and army. The occupation is against our #Palestinian people in the #Gaza Strip.

The movement also expressed its approval of the mediatorsโ€™ proposal on 5/6/2024, welcomed President Bidenโ€™s announcement, and what was stated in the UN Security Council resolution, and responded to the proposal presented by the mediators, and approved it on 7/2/2024.

Following the issuance of the tripartite statement, the movement asked the mediators to submit a plan to implement what they presented to the movement and agreed to, so that the negotiations would not continue to revolve in a vicious circle due to Netanyahuโ€™s procrastination and his placing more conditions and obstacles to reaching an agreement, in a way that serves his strategy to buy time and prolong the aggression.

After we listened to the mediators about what happened in the last round of talks in Doha, we were once again confirmed that Netanyahu is still placing obstacles to reaching an agreement, and setting new conditions and demands, with the aim of thwarting the efforts of the mediators and prolonging the war.

The new proposal responds to Netanyahuโ€™s conditions and is consistent with them, especially his rejection of a permanent ceasefire and comprehensive withdrawal from the #Gaza Strip, and his insistence on continuing the occupation of the Netzarim Junction, the #Rafah Crossing, and the Philadelphia Corridor. He also set new conditions in the prisoner exchange file, and withdrew from other provisions, which prevents Completion of the exchange transaction.

We hold Netanyahu fully responsible for thwarting the efforts of the mediators, obstructing reaching an agreement, and fully responsible for the lives of his prisoners who are exposed to the same danger to which our people are exposed, as a result of his continued aggression and systematic targeting of all aspects of life in the #Gaza Strip.

We in the #Hamas movement affirm our commitment to what we agreed to on July 2, which is based on the Biden declaration and the Security Council resolution, and we call on the mediators to assume their responsibilities and oblige the occupation to implement what was agreed upon.

Earlier, the Somali president openly supported the introduction of Egyptian troops. Cairo has already sent weapons, military advisers and special forces units to Somalia. Egypt intends to complete the implementation of its plans by December 31, the date by which Ethiopian troops must be withdrawn from the country at the request of the Somali government.

Somali army units, accompanied by Egyptian military advisers, were sent to critical supply lines where Ethiopian troops were entrenched in Somalia to ensure their withdrawal.
