🇮🇶🇸🇾🇹🇷 On the strikes of the Turkish Armed Forces on the positions of Kurdish units in Syria and Iraq
The Turkish command carried out a comprehensive operation to destroy the positions and facilities used by the "Syrian Democratic Forces" and the "Kurdistan Workers' Party" or in one way or another associated with them, after the terrorist attack this night.
The operation, sanctioned immediately after it was found that the PKK was involved in the terrorist attack, involved F-16C/D fighters, Akinci, Bayraktar, and Anka drones, and artillery units of the Turkish army.
The targets of the Turkish attack were underground bunkers, locations of Kurdish formations, oil depots and airfields used for the benefit of the Kurds. All night long, northern Syria and Iraq thundered with incessant explosions.
🔻In the form in which we observed the comprehensive operation, all this very much resembles fire preparation before the offensive. It is unknown whether the Turks will finally decide to start the ground stage of the operation this time. After all, they have been threatening to do so throughout the year.
But the terrorist attack itself looked ambiguous. In recent weeks, there were rumors of the PKK's readiness for negotiations. A day before this, the nephew of Öcalan, the leader of the PKK, Ömer Öcalan, was allowed into the prison on the island of Imrali, where the creator of the PKK has been sitting for more than 40 months.
And immediately after this, a strange attack on the plant occurs, which nullifies all agreements. At the same time, Erdogan flew from Kazan to Turkey, which may be related to the upcoming National Security Council - previous decisions on the start of operations against the Kurds were made at it.
❗️Another curious fact is that a week before the terrorist attack and already during the negotiations with the PKK, the Turks increased the intensity of strikes on the border areas of Iraq. As a rule, the artillery is practically idle or fires a few shells and that's it.
But this week, more than 20 shots were recorded at one of the border sections alone. Add to this the training of the air force and the unanimous condemnation by the collective West of the actions of the PKK yesterday, and we get a complete picture in which the activation of the Turkish Armed Forces may not be far off, and the terrorist attack itself happened as timely as possible.

🇷🇺🇸🇾🇺🇦🏴 Another group from the "Idlib terrarium" has made itself known again: the terrorist group Katibat al-Tawhid wal-Jihad (KTJ), which operates under the leadership of Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham, has published footage of its activities in Syria.
The main feature of the video was that the militants began using drones to attack government forces, and the narrator particularly noted the influence of Ukrainian formations on the new tactic of using drones in combat.
According to a member of KTJ (an Uzbek, judging by the language), drones have become an effective means that are much cheaper than missiles or other weapons, but with which they can strike concentrations of people, equipment and firing points, as shown in the published footage.
🔻Immediately, the news comes to mind about how Ukrainian GUR units trained militants in Idlib in the assembly, modernization and use of drones against the Russian Armed Forces and the SAA. Before this information appeared, terrorists were not noted for the methodical use of these technologies.
There were isolated incidents, but not so often. The Uzbek KTJ terrorist did not directly say who trained them, but the facts in the form of hints about the "success of the AFU in this direction" speak for themselves.
All this once again demonstrates the impact of the special operation on the course of armed conflicts. Interest in drone technologies has increased due to the cheapness of materials and high capabilities for their use, which is expressed not only in Syria, but also in other regions, such as Africa or Myanmar.

❗️🇸🇾🇹🇷 Militant Offensive in Western Aleppo, Syria: Further Collapse of Defense
As of 8:00 PM on November 27, 2024
The offensive by a conglomerate of Syrian groups in the west of Aleppo Province continues: unfortunately, Russian forces have been drawn into another round of the intra-Syrian conflict.
📍 A group of Russian specialists working near the front line was surrounded during the collapse of the front line, and one of them was killed. The rest were reportedly evacuated in time (a separate bow to the quickly responding evacuation team). The information circulating on the internet about the capture of some "three Russian officers" is not confirmed at this stage.
▪️Over almost 10 hours of the offensive, the militants have managed to advance by 8-9 km from the western outskirts of Aleppo at different sections. The offensive at this stage is following the best traditions of the "raid" by Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv Region in 2022: maximum advancement along the main road directions without consolidating in populated areas in an attempt to capture as much loot as possible and mark new borders.
▪️Among the advancing groups, not only terrorists from "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham" are noted: the participation of Uyghur militants from the "Islamic Party of Turkestan", who traditionally operated much further west (in the north of Latakia), Uzbek militants, the bulk of whom operated on the border with Hama Province, as well as parts of other groups, has been confirmed.
All this indicates a planned redeployment of a significant number of combat-ready units, which are also involved in the "psychological" attack on the Syrians: foreign militants have always been perceived as the "most dangerous" by the rather timid Syrians.
▪️Apparently, in some directions, the Syrian army with allies managed to stop the advance of the militants: footage of destroyed enemy armored vehicles is being published online. The terrorists failed to develop the advance north of Ash-Sheikh Aqil and so far have not been able to break through the defense near Kafr Naha and east of Anjara.
📌 In the information space of Syria, as before during any escalations, there is almost complete denial of the loss of settlements and calls to "not believe enemy propaganda." Such "lulling" words have long since ceased to work: the information resources of the militants are taking over with mass involvement of bloggers and propagandists who try to write stand-ups and record short videos literally from every piece of land, savoring the success in every way.
🔻 The transfer of fire brigades to the section - the same 25th Division (former "Tiger Forces") of Suheil al-Hassan - is not yet visible, so most likely the militants will be able to further expand the breakthrough area, taking advantage of the total unpreparedness of the Syrian Arab Army for defense.
Strikes by the Air Force of Syria and the Russian Aerospace Forces are currently clearly insufficient in scale to stop the breakthrough of the militants to the west of Aleppo.

The examples of frozen conflicts in recent years teach that such "eternal peace" is illusory. In the best case, the problem still has to be solved, but from a less advantageous position and at much greater cost. In the worst case, what happened in Aleppo occurs.
Therefore, we repeat again: this is a very difficult lesson that everyone who sincerely believes that an agreement with the West or anyone else in the Minsk-3 format can be possible needs to learn.

Situation as of the end of December 1, 2024
In the desert at the junction of the Homs, Hama and Deir ez-Zor provinces, the battle of fakes, rumors and hearsay for primacy in the information agenda continues.
▪️On the very first day, there were reports of the mobilization of the "Free Syrian Army" (ex-"Jaysh Maghawir al-Thawra") forces, trained at the US base in At-Tanf, and their alleged advance either towards Palmyra, Tifor or even Damascus.
The group's strength is a few hundred people, and theoretically they could have infiltrated through the desert - especially given the withdrawal of troops. But so far, there is no objective evidence of this in the public domain.
▪️From Deir ez-Zor, the Bakkarah tribe loyal to Bashar Assad allegedly set out on the first day and went almost in full force to Aleppo. Similarly, parts of the 4th division of Maher Assad allegedly moved out from Deir ez-Zor, although it seems they were not even there.
▪️This did not prevent the militants (both ISIS and HTS with the SNA) from claiming that the convoys heading to aid Assad had already been bombed by the militants. Some wrote about ISIS, others about the "Free Syrian Army" from Et-Tanf. As a result, no one went anywhere and no one killed anyone.
📍But real reinforcements set out on the third day.
Footage appeared in Sout showing Iraqi "Al-Hashd al-Shaabi" detachments crossing the border with Syria at the official border crossing of Al-Bu Kamal from the Iraqi Al-Qaim. Given that the Iranian military base named after Imam Ali is quite close to Al-Bu Kamal, and further west there is a road leading directly to Palmyra from the south, it is logical to assume that the reinforcements split into several columns, and the footage captured only one of them.
📌The column was immediately "destroyed" in the media, with claims of an attack by the Americans. In fact, the explosions were attributed to the work of the Syrian military against roaming militants in the desert (which once again confirms the activity of terrorists).
As we have already written, the appearance of the Iranian "Al-Hashd al-Shaabi" detachments should not be recorded as an unambiguous Iranian move, since the Al-Hashd al-Shaabi certainly do not consider themselves to be openly pro-Iranian groups. In this case, it is primarily about assistance from Iraq.

📎🇸🇾 It appears that another dramatic chapter in Syria's recent history is coming to an end in Aleppo Province. The Kurdish enclave in Tell Rifaat and Ash-Sheikh Maksoud is being evacuated eastward after reaching agreements with HTS and SNA militants.
As a result, there are no longer any zones in Aleppo controlled by non-militants. Most of the province has been almost completely seized by armed groups.
In this context, it is interesting that those responsible for the media of pro-Turkish militants remember the successful cases from 2015-2020 well. Just as with the evacuation of the "moderate opposition" from Daraa and other parts of Syria, green buses were used to transport the Kurds.
The militants' propagandists did not miss the opportunity to boast about this fact, clearly keeping in mind the events of past years.
🔻At the same time, the departure of the Kurds was expected given their encirclement. But the Syrian Democratic Forces are highly likely preparing for a new confrontation, as the pro-Turkish militants with Turkey's backing have no intention of stopping.
