It looks like they sacrificed at least three combat drones for this attack. At least 4 million dollars for this meaningless attack that only serves as leverage for Putin.
Maybe I’m missing something but did they do this just to impress Washington while they were in Kiev?

🇷🇺🇺🇦 About the perpetrators of the terrorist attack on the Bryansk region

A video with representatives of the Russian Volunteer Corps, which is part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, is circulating on the network at the feldsher-obstetric station in the village of Lyubechane, Bryansk region.

The armed men in the video claim that their group crossed the border of the Russian Federation, and that they are responsible for the attack on the border regions of the country.

🔻Who are they?

▪️The Russian Volunteer Corps is an anti-Russian nationalist movement that was officially formed in August 2022 and became part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

▪️One of the founders is Denis Kapustin, known under the pseudonym Denis Nikitin. It is he who calls on the Russian people to take up arms in the video.

▪️ The number of movements is small. The main composition is Russian emigrants who have been living on the territory of Ukraine for a long time. The group also conducts recruitment from other countries.

▪️According to the participants in the movement, they can perform tasks at the company level. However, before that, RDK was used mainly for PR campaigns.

Earlier, they also declared their involvement in the murder of Daria Dugina and sabotage within Russia. The group has been repeatedly used by the Ukrainian authorities to acquit themselves of charges of terrorism.

🔻Why attack the Bryansk region

▪️Provocation for the purpose of PR and popularization of the activities of the "Russian Volunteer Corps", which has not previously been seen in active hostilities.

🔻Interesting movements of the enemy have been observed in the Kharkov and Sumy regions. There are numerous rumors among members of Ukrainian formations regarding the possible activation of the Russian Armed Forces in this direction. As a result, the AFU is preparing for this scenario.

▪️ In addition to the regular activity of reconnaissance groups near the borders with the Belgorod region, SOF units have arrived in the Kharkov region. They are currently conducting reconnaissance in the northern area of Kharkov.

▪️ The air defense system has been reinforced in various settlements, with additional mobile air defense units deployed on pickup trucks. Additionally, eight anti-aircraft guns and two MANPADS have been spotted in Kazachya Lopan.

▪️ Furthermore, 250 units of S-5K unguided aircraft missiles have been delivered to Ruski Tyshky. These missiles will be utilized from homemade launchers mounted on pickup trucks. Additionally, up to 700 personnel have arrived in Tarasovka to bolster the units in Kharkov.

🔻In addition to this, two consolidated formations have been created in the group's reserve. The reserves will be positioned in the rear. In this situation, a parallel can be drawn with last year when Russian troops entered Ukraine. The AFU anticipated an attack, attempting to lure the Russian Armed Forces deeper into Ukraine while gradually cutting off their supplies.

Now, it appears that the enemy is planning similar defensive tactics in case hostilities escalate. The focus on anti-tank weapons and minefields serves as evidence of this.

Last night, Ukrainian forces carried out a massive attack on various regions of Russia. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of 50 drones shot down and intercepted by electronic warfare and air defense systems.

All were shot down:
▪️26 UAVs in the Belgorod Region;
▪️10 UAVs in the Bryansk Region;
▪️eight UAVs in the Kursk Region;
▪️two in the Tula Region;

🇷🇺🇺🇦The Most Massive Drone Attack by Ukrainian UAVs on Russian Regions

This night, Ukrainian forces carried out a massive drone attack on Russian regions. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 158 drones were intercepted in 16 regions, as well as over Moscow.

▪️The largest number of munitions was destroyed over the Kursk Region - 46 of them. The work of the Russian air defense forces was recorded throughout the night.

▪️No less than 34 Ukrainian drones were intercepted over the Bryansk Region. According to the governor Alexander Bogomaz, there were no casualties among the civilian population and no damage to infrastructure.

▪️14 drones were neutralized in the airspace of the Belgorod Region. At the same time, commercial facilities, private homes and civilian vehicles were damaged in Belgorod and the Belgorod District.

▪️In the Moscow Region and Moscow, a downed UAV fell on a technical building on the territory of the Moscow Oil Refinery in Kapotnya, causing a fire of about 40 square meters, which was extinguished. According to some reports, the Kashira GRES power plant was also attacked, but this has not been confirmed.

Also, according to preliminary information, the enemy tried to attack the Zhukovsky Airport. Temporary restrictions for flight safety were also introduced at the Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports, their operation was restored at 09:05.

▪️In the Tver Region, a fire broke out at the Konakovo GRES power plant after a drone strike, which was soon localized and extinguished. As reported by Governor Igor Rudenya, there were no casualties, electricity and gas supply in the district is carried out as usual.

▪️Air defense systems also worked in Yaroslavl, Voronezh, Ryazan, Kaluga, Tula, Tambov, Smolensk, Oryol and Ivanovo Regions, with no casualties reported. Only in the Tarnsky District of the Lipetsk Region was a cell tower damaged.

🔻The night attack by the AFU became the most massive since the start of the SMO. Once again, the main targets were fuel and energy facilities, where the enemy specifically developed entry routes from the least protected directions. But in this case, only a few UAVs reached their targets, while the rest were destroyed.

However, in the foreseeable future, the enemy's drone production rates will be even higher. And we need to be ready for this - if today the wave of drones on the capital was almost completely destroyed, this does not mean that tomorrow it will be exactly the same.

▪️This time, the most massive attack was on the Bryansk Region, where the enemy launched at least 24 drones. However, it was not without consequences - near Karachayevo, the impact hit the territory of the 67th arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate.

Footage of explosions and fires at the facility was published online. Local authorities declared a municipal emergency due to the detonation of explosive objects.

▪️The southern regions of Russia were also attacked. In the Rostov Region, Russian air defenses intercepted targets near Novoshakhtinsk and in the southwest of the region. As a result of debris falling in the Kagalnitsky District, a fire broke out in a wasteland.

In the neighboring Krasnodar Territory, a Ukrainian drone was shot down over the village of Shabelskoe on the coast of the Sea of Azov. In the settlement, a residential house and a gas pipe were damaged.

▪️Air defense systems also worked in the Kursk and Belgorod Regions - a total of seven drones were intercepted over these regions. According to preliminary information, there were no consequences.

▪️The most targets were destroyed over the Krasnodar Region - 47 aircraft. In the Kalinsky and Dinsky districts, residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged, as well as a gas pipeline supplying one of the households. Emergency services are working at the scene.

▪️In the Rostov Region, electronic warfare means suppressed at least ten UAVs, including one each in the Millerovo and Kamensk districts. Some of the drones launched at the region were destroyed by air defenses in the southern part of the Zaporizhia Region.

▪️Other UAVs were destroyed in the Kursk, Bryansk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Oryol Regions, and in Crimea. In addition, 15 drones were shot down over the waters of the Sea of Azov.

▪️The AFU also attacked the Republic of Adygea. Near Maykop, a drone struck the military airfield in Rodnikovo, causing a fire. According to preliminary data, the attack involved an American PD-2 drone loaded with 19 kg of explosives.

The village has announced the evacuation of the local population, a temporary accommodation point has been deployed in the neighboring village of Khanskaya. The authorities reported that there were no casualties as a result of the night attack, about 40 people are staying in the temporary accommodation point.
