🇷🇺🇺🇦 Lyman Direction: Expansion of the Control Zone of the Russian Armed Forces on the Right Bank of the Zherebets River

Over the past two weeks, the section of the front has clearly become more active, with Russian troops advancing towards the western border of the LPR. Thanks to footage from Makiivka, it was possible to establish that the Russian Armed Forces have expanded their control zone, clearing several forest belts on the right bank of the Zherebets River.

To the south, work is underway to eliminate the AFU bridgehead in the vicinity of the recently liberated Ivanovka, but information about a breakthrough in the AFU defense towards Kolodezy has not yet been confirmed.

The development of the success of the Russian Armed Forces in the direction of Yampolivka and Torske will make it possible to free the entire left bank from the presence of the enemy and proceed to the assault on Zarichne, from where the road to Lyman opens up.

for January 9, 2025

Russian forces delivered a series of strikes on AFU targets in the border zone and rear regions of the so-called Ukraine. The enemy launched several drones over the Krasnodar Region, most of which were shot down by on-duty air defense assets.

In the Kursk Region, the clearing of the Berdin area from the enemy is confirmed, and it also became known that the Russian Armed Forces control Agronomicheskoye and are advancing towards Nikolskoye.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops advanced to the western border of the LPR, dislodging the enemy from positions in the forest belts near Makiivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russian Armed Forces are pushing the AFU positions along the entire front line, clearing the hedgerows in anticipation of a possible offensive towards Pokrovsk and Myrnograd.

In the Kurakhovo direction, fighting continues along the Yasenove - Slavyanka line and south of Kurakhovo, with the Russian forces succeeding in both sectors.

The Russian forces struck with two Iskander OTRK missiles at a training center of the AFU in Kryvyi Rih, and also launched drones against military targets in Zhytomyr, Odesa and other regions of the so-called Ukraine.

In the Oleksandrivka-Kalinovo direction, the Russian troops advanced into Petrivka from the direction of Shcherbynivka and continue to push the enemy out of Dzerzhynsk.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the Russian forces expanded their control zone in the area of Yasenove, driving the Ukrainian formations out of the center of the settlement.

In the Vremivka direction, assault troops occupied a significant part of Vremivka, confirming their success by installing the Russian flag on the northwestern outskirts of the village.

🇺🇦🖇 It seems that the idea of collecting statistics on "forcible mobilization" and abductions of people by Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TRSSCs) personnel in the so-called Ukraine has been developed and scaled up: a resource has appeared on the Internet, acting as a database of such incidents.

The website contains a list of "busing" cases, indicating the location, the number of military enlistment office employees involved in the capture, and links to the evidence base. Currently, 453 such cases have been collected there.

The authors are trying to gather information about the abducted, TRSSC employees, and the license plates of the vehicles they use. Rewards are paid for this information and for providing exclusive footage of "busing".

📌 Interestingly, the creators of the resource mention Gonzalo Lira - a Chilean journalist killed in the dungeons of the SBU after two years in prison. There is also the name of an Odesa blogger who became a victim due to criticism of "busing" and the ban on the Russian language.

Against the backdrop of the obvious increase in tension in Ukrainian society and its resentment towards the TRSSCs, the initiative looks very timely. Especially in light of plans by the Kyiv regime to lower the conscription age.
