Two years ago, media reports discussed Serbia's intention to acquire eight of these aircraft, but now it seems that the negotiations have reached the final stages.

The decision by the authorities in Belgrade is quite understandable. Due to certain restrictions, they are currently unable to import Russian aircraft, and there are few other potential suppliers of modern combat aircraft.
