🇷🇺🇺🇦 Pokrovsk Direction: Liberation of Ukrainsk and Attacks by the Russian Armed Forces in Hrodivka

🔻Russian forces continue to advance in the Pokrovsk direction. On the northern flank, fighting continues in Hrodivka, where Russian assault troops have advanced on the western outskirts of the settlement in the area of Krasnaya Street, allowing them to push the enemy out of the western part of the urban-type settlement south of the Zhuravka River.

Advances by the Russian Armed Forces are also being recorded in the northern part of the settlement. Judging by footage of strikes by the enemy, Russian units have occupied buildings on Yarovaya (Stakhanov) Street. Thus, less than a third of the city remains under the control of the enemy.

The situation between Novohrodivka and Hrodivka remains shrouded in the "fog of war" for now. Attacks by the enemy were recorded in the vicinity of Krytyi Yar, but it is unclear whether the AFU managed to consolidate there. Fighting continues west of Novohrodivka, and the enemy is actively counterattacking towards Mykhailivka near Selidovo.

🔻In addition, for several days in a row, reports of the success of Russian assault troops came from Ukrainsk. By the evening of September 17, footage appeared online showing the flags of the 114th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade on the mine shaft "Ukraina", at the "Ukraina" cinema, and at school No. 12: this allows us to assert full control over the settlement, which, judging by panoramic shots, did not suffer much damage.

❗️The status of the slag heap on the western outskirts of the settlement is still in question. On the one hand, without control of the settlement, it is very problematic to occupy and supply positions on this height. On the other hand, as practice shows, Ukrainian formations often cling even to extremely inconvenient positions.

The capture of the city will also allow the development of the offensive towards Tsukuryne and Hirnyk.

Ukrainian forces carried out a drone attack on an ammunition depot in the settlement of Toropets in Tver Region during a night raid, with cleanup operations still ongoing at the impact site.

In Kursk Region, Russian forces are expanding their control zone in Sudzha and Korenevo districts, while the AFU are not attempting to consolidate on the outskirts of Glushkovo district.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces are advancing west of Pishchane, expanding their bridgehead in the northern and western directions towards the Oskil River.

In the Pokrovsk direction, fighting continues in the area of Hrodivka and in the fields north of the settlement. Russian forces control about 80% of the populated area.

In the South Donetsk direction, the Russian Armed Forces have expanded their control zone in the area of Vodyane, with active clashes ongoing in the area of the "Yuzhdonbass" mine No. 1.

🇷🇺🇺🇦 South Donetsk Direction: Advances by the Russian Armed Forces in Several Sectors

Over the past few weeks, Russian Armed Forces units have been developing an offensive in the Vuhledar area: earlier on this section of the front, Russian troops successfully expanded the zone of control near the Yuzhnodonbass Mine No. 3, and yesterday evening footage appeared confirming the advance of assault troops towards Novoukrainka.

▪️On the northern flank, the clearing of the remaining part of Kostyantynivka, where pockets of enemy presence had persisted until then, has been completed. However, the work of Russian fighters is complicated by the active use of drones by Ukrainian formations.

▪️Significant successes have been achieved in recent days in the Vodyane area, where Russian troops have taken control of areas north of the settlement, as well as in the vicinity of the Yuzhnodonbass Mine No. 1. Meanwhile, fighting is ongoing on the western outskirts of the eponymous facility No. 3.

▪️On the southern flank, there is evidence of the advance of the Russian Armed Forces north of Prechystivka: there, a Russian armored group advanced through the fields towards Novoukrainka, essentially without encountering significant resistance from the AFU. Footage was also published online showing the capture of members of Ukrainian formations in this area.

However, the subsequent assault on Novoukrainka may be complicated by the geographical features of the terrain - the settlement and its surroundings are located on high ground, which somewhat facilitates its defense against attackers from the lowlands.

🔻Against the backdrop of the recent advances of the Russian Armed Forces in the South Donetsk direction, the enemy is in a rather dismal position. After losing control of the buildings of the crushing and sorting departments of the Yuzhnodonbass Mines No. 1 and No. 3, Ukrainian formations have lost the ability to monitor the situation for dozens of kilometers around.

It seems that the Russian command has abandoned the frontal assault on the AFU positions in Vuhledar, which, although already heavily destroyed, remains a convenient defensive settlement. Instead, units are advancing in neighboring areas from the direction of Vodyane and Prechystivka, while simultaneously cutting off supply routes to the Ukrainian garrison in Vuhledar.

In Kursk Region, heavy clashes continue on several sections of the front.

🔻In Korenevo District, an enemy International MaxxPro armored vehicle was ambushed at the eastern entrance to Kremyanoye at an intersection. According to the published footage, a group of scouts hit the vehicle with four RPG-7 shots from both sides.

Hardly anyone inside the armored vehicle is likely to have survived such an attack. It is worth noting that this area was previously considered more of a rear area, and the presence of AFU units here was not expected. For now, in the absence of new footage "from the scene", it is not possible to clarify the current front line.

At the same time, the enemy maintains a stable control in Olhovka, from where they today published footage of their damaged BMP-1 and Ukrainian servicemen killed by a drone strike.

🔻In Sudzha District, meanwhile, clashes have been reported on the line Daryino — Ivano-Daryino, where Russian forces are trying to establish stable control over both settlements. On the opposite flank, fighting is underway on the approaches to Plekhovo, with no significant changes so far.

In the Kursk Direction, Ukrainian formations are making unsuccessful attempts to break through the defense of the Russian troops on several sections of the front.

🔻In the south of the Glushkovo District, the AFU are trying to cut the 38N-052 highway east of Vesele. The Russian troops are repelling the enemy's attacks with the support of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

▪️Drone operators struck the "Plastun" radar station of the Ukrainian formations in Vorozhba. The station was likely operating in the interests of the enemy grouping in the Tetkinо area.

🔻In the Korenevo District, the AFU launched attacks towards Olhovka and in the area of Lyubimovka. The Russian Armed Forces units repelled the enemy's attacks and also destroyed an ammunition depot of the Ukrainian formations south of Tolstoy Lug.

🔻In the Sudzha District, the AFU launched an attack with an armored group towards Martynivka. The Russian aviation struck the enemy's units during their advancement from the initial positions, forcing them to retreat. Attacks by Ukrainian formations in the areas of Olhovka, Russkoye and Cherkasskoye Porechnoye were also repelled.

▪️The Russian Aerospace Forces struck the positions of the enemy in the areas of Martynivka and Kolmakovo. Drone operators also distinguished themselves, destroying several pieces of Ukrainian equipment in Sudzha, as well as shooting down a "Baba Yaga" UAV in the vicinity of the settlement.

🔻The Russian troops regularly strike the enemy's rear in order to complicate the supply of the AFU grouping in the Kursk Region. Thus, over the past day, Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft struck the concentrations of AFU personnel in Barilovo, Ugroedy and Iskriskovshchina.

In the Kursk Direction, Russian forces are pushing through the enemy's defenses in the area of Lyubimovka and Plekhovo. At the same time, active work continues to destroy the enemy's industrial facilities in the rear.

🔻In Glushkovo District, the Russian Armed Forces are fighting on the northern outskirts of Novy Put. Ukrainian formations are holding positions south of the railway track and are accumulating forces for a counterattack in the area.

The artillery and air force of the Russian Armed Forces regularly strike the rear communications of the AFU, reducing their combat potential and hampering the supply of forward units. Over the past day, the positions of Ukrainian formations in Pavlovka, Katerynivka and Iskryskovshchyna were hit.

🔻In Korenevo District, the battle for Lyubimovka continues, where enemy units have been partially encircled. Likely, the Ukrainian formations will soon be forced to either leave the village or carry out counterattacks to improve their position.

❗️Earlier, there was information about the advance of Russian troops towards Sverdlikovo. As of today, it has not been possible to confirm this either by objective control footage or data from our sources on the ground. It is difficult to determine the current configuration of the front in this area due to the high rate of change in the combat situation.

🔻In the north of Sudzha District, the Russian Armed Forces delivered a series of artillery strikes on enemy positions in Russkoye Porechnoye. To the south, assault groups of Russian troops are advancing along the railway towards Kolmakovo and Agronom from the direction of Russkaya Konopelka.

▪️On the southern outskirts of Makhnovka, Russian UAV operators destroyed an enemy tank using a drone with a fiber-optic cable. This type of drone is gradually gaining more popularity in the troops against the background of its successful debut in the Kursk region.

▪️In the area of Plekhovo, the situation is shrouded in the "fog of war". Judging by the reports from the Russian Ministry of Defense about strikes on the territory of the village, Ukrainian formations are still present in the settlement.

At the same time, Russian troops are expanding the zones of penetration into the AFU defense, seeking to reach the Psel River and completely cut off the enemy from supply.

🔻In Sumy Region, Russian troops used Geran-2 UAVs to strike a series of industrial enterprises in the regional center.

The facilities were used for the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, including Western models, in the interests of the enemy grouping in the Kursk Region.

▪️In Glushkovo District, there are clashes near the captured enemy village of Novy Put, and to the south, Ukrainian formations are preparing the next line of defense along the railway. At the same time, the territory of the district is almost completely liberated.

▪️In Korenevo District, Ukrainian formations tried to attack in Zeleny Shlyakh and the villages to the south, but withdrew with losses. Against the background of reports of the alleged capture of a huge amount of enemy manpower in the area of Lyubimovka, footage of retreating AFU members has spread on the Internet: apparently, they were shot near Tolstoy Lug, where a "semi-cauldron" with a narrow "neck" formed.

Approximately in this area, there was an episode of an unsuccessful attack by the Russian Armed Forces and the loss of several units of tracked and wheeled armored vehicles. According to preliminary data, the reason was a topographic error of the advancing forces.

▪️In Sudzha District, another unsuccessful attack by the AFU was recorded in the vicinity of Russkaya Konopelka. Judging by the latest footage of objective control, the Ukrainian formations in Plekhovo are also under the threat of encirclement, and the village may be liberated in the near future.
