🔖 Why do we sometimes try but see no results?

✍️ Allah says:

Humans only reap the outcomes of their own efforts.

But why is it, that we sometimes work hard yet fail to achieve our desired goals?

▫️ Allah has ordained distinct systems for this world and the hereafter.

🔹In the hereafter, the system and principle of effort & reward is absolute: the more one strives, the greater their reward. As stated in Surah Al-Isra (17:19):

"Whoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it as it should be striven for, while being a believer—their efforts will be rewarded."

✍️ ✍️ However, worldly endeavors do not follow the same rule. It is not that whoever wants something will attain it.
In verse 17:18, God says:

"We grant in this world whatever We will to whom We will."

Yet, not everything one desires is granted.

🔺Why?!

Because this world (temporary life) is not a system of guaranteed rewards, but a system of divine decree and tests.

⬅️ God explains:
"I grant in a way that sets up the next test. It is not that I give you whatever you want, however you want."

In this world, our efforts are not always meant to lead to the exact results we desire. Because the world is a system of evaluation, not transactional compensation.
