Türkiye filed a detailed 45-page STRONG submission.

🔴Their strongest point is when they highlighted the compounded effect of the siege of an occupied territory, the bombing of medical facilities, the denial of humanitarian aid, and the short-notice evacuations to part of the Strip unfit to lodge all those civilians as an indirect demonstration of systematic genocidal intent. They specifically brought the ICJ advisory opinion into the South Africa case.

🔴Secondly, they highlighted how the occupation is not prosecuting those committing these crimes.

🔴Thirdly, they stressed how all States members of the Convention are under the obligation to prosecute those responsible for genocidal acts, even if in power in “Israel”, because, as clearly spelled out in legal precedents, any possible national immunity must be overridden.

Comment: It may sound like a bunch of random words to you, however, Türkiye has asked the ICJ to decide on several thorny questions. This, in fact, means that the West will no longer be able to use their “legalese” to shield the occupation.

It is also worth noting that, Türkiye’s submission was clearly written by a lawyer, but no lawyer is named – and it was filed and deposited by their Ambassador. It might be so that the lawyer can avoid being unduly pressured by the zios and/or sanctioned by the US.
