⚡️EU foreign ministers held a video call yesterday (March 5) with their Gulf Cooperation Council counterparts.

The meeting was chaired by EU High Representative Kaja Kallas.

They discussed the current escalation, especially Iran’s missile strikes on GCC countries.

They released a joint statement calling Iran’s actions “inexcusable,” demanding an immediate end to the attacks, de-escalation, and respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.

⚡️Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich issued a warning in a video from Israel's northern border yesterday (March 5):

"The southern suburbs [Dahiyeh] will very soon look like Khan Younis."

"Hezbollah made a mistake, and it will pay a heavy price... We are striking at the head of the octopus in Iran, and at the same time we will sever Hezbollah's arm."

The remarks came as Israel ordered mass evacuations from Beirut's southern suburbs and carried out strikes there.

Today (March 6), reports confirm Smotrich's son who is serving as an Israeli soldier was wounded by Hezbollah forces on the Lebanon border.
