A Qatari-Egyptian-American statement at dawn talks about a ceasefire agreement on the table, and all that is missing are the details of implementation, and an invitation to the two sides to resume talks on August 15 in Doha or Cairo to fill the remaining gaps.

Followed by a statement by Israeli officials confirming that Tel Aviv knew about the statement in advance.

This was followed by a statement issued by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, confirming that he would send “a negotiating team to the agreed-upon location to determine the terms and framework of the agreement.”

All of this is followed by a statement by a senior US administration official confirming that “temporary arrangements and proposals” have been reached and that the issues of implementing the agreement are the remaining ones.

He points out that “any Iranian escalation would undermine hopes of reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza,” but adds: “The leaders’ statement is not linked to the regional situation, and if it has an impact on Iran that is a good thing.”

What do we understand?

First: If he is serious, then everyone has the opportunity to pull the fuse of the explosion, but no less than to stop the aggression on Gaza.

Second: If it was a maneuver to avoid responses from the axis of resistance, then the time frame is narrow.

However, it must be emphasized that the resistance axis’ announcement of the inevitability and seriousness of responding to the recent attacks has stirred up some of the stagnant waters.

Things remain the same, and anticipation remains the master of the situation.

There is a price to pay for not responding, and a big price to pay.
