The Israeli army and Shin Bet were forced to cancel about twenty arrest operations planned for this week, due to a lack of space in prisons. Security officials warn of a problem in detention centers and prisons that leads to the cancellation of arrests. In light of the increasing distress in places of detention, security services are forced to conduct assessments of the situation regarding the danger of detainees and, without any option, to release administrative detainees at the end of their detention period. The release of these detainees is intended to make room for detainees with a higher threat level who need to be investigated, during a tense period when the threat level is high in the area.
