Dr. Mohamed Al-Haj Ahmed, was shot by an Israeli sniper at Kamal Adwan Hospital in nothern Gaza.
The bullet penetrated his back and exited through his hand. Additionally, his parents and sister were killed in the same attack.
Despite his losses and his injuries, he hasn't abandoned the wounded, and continues to treat them!

• On 31 May 2024, in accordance with the UN Security Council resolution 9 (1946), Palestine filed a declaration recognizing the competence of the ICJ
• On the same day, Palestine filed an application for permission to intervene and a declaration of intervention in the case South Africa v. Israel, invoking Articles 62 and 63 of the ICJ Statute
Context:
Given its new UN status, Palestine can now defend itself and – more importantly – file its own case with the ICJ (this means it can do so when other countries are subject to mistreatment). This is why the US and the UK tried to block the recognition of Palestine as a state. Any objection on the grounds of jurisdiction is now void.
