🚨 An urgent press statement issued by Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital:

“We warn of a health catastrophe if Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital stops medical service due to the lack of fuel supply.”

The administration of Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital warns of an imminent health catastrophe if fuel is not supplied to the hospital within the next few hours. The hospital administration considers that this comes within the framework of pressure on medical personnel and the already dilapidated health sector in order to completely stop the work of hospitals in the Gaza Strip.

We express our deep astonishment and disapproval at the policy of procrastination that Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital is being subjected to. For many hours, we have been in contact with the relevant authorities and with the World Health Organization, which is the body responsible for supplying fuel to the hospital, but there has been no response to our request to supply fuel immediately and urgently.

We announce to all international and international organizations and to global public opinion that Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital has a fuel storage capacity estimated at 50,000 liters of fuel, but the quantities being supplied do not exceed one-fifth at best, noting that the hospital needs more than 4,000 liters daily. In order to be able to provide appropriate health services and medical care.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital provides medical care and health services to more than 1,200 sick and wounded people, including 600 patients with kidney failure who need electrical current in order to benefit from the dialysis service, which will stop within hours if fuel is not supplied to the hospital.

We appeal to the international community and all international and international organizations to supply 50,000 liters of fuel to the hospital in the coming hours before the health disaster strikes hundreds of sick and wounded people. Any procrastination in supplying fuel means a death sentence for these sick and wounded people.
